I don't think that matters.

At no point in my claim did I state he was on restriction for a single offense. I simply stated it didnt matter.

I still feel you would be better suited remaining out of the HLA forum. Your lack of knowledge on this program and refusal to learn the truth offer nothing constructive to the conversation.

Not trying to sound harsh I just dont think you can really add anything here.

Because Im not speculating on anything regarding ASR or Aspen programs. I'm going by what I can verify as facts.

Youre dismissing claims about HLA when you have no means of knowing whats true and whats not.

Oh and when did I invite you?

Good, lets keep it that way... I am here just to keep you honest and try to add some perspective that is missing sometimes.

I have no idea who "Pinko" is, nor do I see why his being a overlapping restriction versus one eight month long restriction for a single infraction would make a difference.

The fact of the matter is however you slice it, he was on restriction for eight months. Or in this case both of these kids were, since the kid I'm refering to was not called "Pinko" by anyone.

There is a perceived difference that you don’t understand or don’t care to.
Devon, That is a classic Half truth… Its like saying I know a person who stole candy from a candy store and has been in jail for 30 years (trying to imply the judge, or system, was unreasonably harsh)….when in fact he only spent 3 days in jail for the candy offense, but he kept screwing up over the next 30 years and kept going back.  This why I personally don’t believe you when you speak of your time and experiences at HLA.

The fact is that eight months of restrictions is completely against any treatment plan and screams "We can't help this kid but we don't care!"

Everything looks like a nail when your only tool is a hammer.

EIGHT MONTHS STRAIGHT ON RESTRICTIONS?  You  need to look at the program and the counselors if that's all they could do for a kid.  Who pays $48,000 to have their kid move a rockpile for eight months?  (Oh yeah, TheWho does!)

You say RB overlooks the point, Who.  What fucking planet are from where this is justified?  You are an idiot and your judgement is incredibly flawed.  Obviously you know absolutely zero about how treatment works.  ZERO.

Relax guy, take it easy on TheWho. Maybe he knows more then he's telling.

TheWho man what's your story? Are you connected to HLA somehow?

RB let me ask you something. Do you think every action should result in consequences?

That piece I may agree with.  If it wasn’t working for him then he should have gone elsewhere.  But the point I was trying to make was there is a big difference between an 8 month restriction and a series of restrictions where the kids was given options and kept screwing up.

What options? Can you detail what was involved with being put on a restriction and how one got off?

no, he has no connection to hla.  he forced his daughter to go to asr for two years for basically no reason and as soon as she got out, within a day or two, she was drinking and getting high and then she cut off thewho completely.  she no longer has anything to do with him, which is why he always says 'she'll have to share that here with you someday,' only someday will never come because she hates him and stays away from him while he hides his obsession with fornits from his wife (tough to hide 20+ hours a day of fornits though).  he's a failure parent and asr was a waste of time that only broke up his family.  look under the troubled teen forum for thewho's thread.  it's 250 pages of him acting like an asshole.  great read.  so, q, do some reading before you defend this scumbag.

No, there isn't.  Either way it's gross and abject neglect and abuse.  And it's wrong.  Don't justify mistreating kids.  This is why people can't stand you.  You justify hurting children.

TheWho is this stuff true about your kid? What about your connection to HLA?

Of course. I just believe in levels of severity for consequences.

Again, half truths….this seems to be the MO here on this thread.  At the time ASR didn’t have a very good transition program and when my daughter first got home she asked if she could see her old friends, which I wasn’t happy about, but gave her the space she needed or wanted.  As it turns out she went back to her old friends and drank and smoked but quickly grew tired of her friends because she had outgrown them and was more mature.  So after 3 weeks she stopped seeing them.  I was nervous, but the big difference was we had better communication after ASR and I knew her head was on straight so I wasn’t as worried (although I was worried).  I think the big difference with her before and after ASR was her ability to communicate how she felt which has really helped her.  We are able to talk freely about that time and her experiences as well as the rest of the families experiences during that time period.
I don’t have any connection with HLA, never knew anyone who went there except Devon.
