Folks, I have 20 minutes to get ready and get to work, so this is not the best job I can do! I will come back and address all this tomorrow after work, but....
Hijacking of threads to talk about Fornits is just not going to be tolerated anymore. If someone posts a topic, then let's stick to the topic. Generally, someone's topic is NOT about anyone else and how they have been treated at Fornits. It's not "all about YOU"!!!!!
I cleaned up one thread, but I gotta' go. I will fix anything else tomorrow.
If you don't like what I did, or want to complain, please post it here, rather than in the middle of someone else's thread.

I'm sorry quickly tell me which thread it was, because I know it was not the "psy has been baned" thread, and if that is the thread you talking about then I believe it was a foolish decision and illustrates the steriotype that ST is horribly biggoted against any opposite point of view.

A little clarification: are you saying you don't want any mention of Fornits here or in other parts of the forum?
Sorry if this has all been discussed before--I've been listed as a member for a while but only recently have I actually read and visited the site fairly regularly.
More detailed discussion of expectations, when you have time, would be helpful to me in following the site rules.
Thanks

As for "site rules", I'd not like to see this become a matter of specific "you can" or "you can't" because inevitably someone would argue over what they mean as well. I've found this site and boards a great resource and help, and the "norms" for posting clear enough already.

Like you, I have found this site helpful, and like you, I would not want to see terribly rigid communication rules, especially if they lead to argument, as you predict.
However, unlike you (and perhaps this is a function of my shorter active time here), I am not clear on the limits that Jena is talking about.
Hence my request for a clarification, which I would still like--and I think some others would like also. It's been my own experience that clarifying expectation leads to less debate and disagreement than not doing so.
I would like some simple guidelines such as:
1)whether certain other entities, such as the one that is at the base of Jena's thread deletions, should be treated like school names and not talked about by name anywhere on the forum.
2)whether neither names or direct comment on these entities should be used on the site.
3)whether such entities can be referred to, either by name or content in a thread where the topic of the thread makes mention germane (I'm thinking of the Industry part of the forum).
In her post yesterday, Jena indicated that she was short on time and that she would address the situation further on THIS thread later if needed. Hope this explains why my inquiry on the subject appears on this thread. So for myself, a little more quidance would help a lot in adhering to site expectations.

Fornits is a controversial subject among some posters. I don't have a problem with that, but the problem comes when almost every thread on the forum, turns into an argument about Fornits.
It is ok to talk about Fornits, but not interjected into other threads when that is not the subject of the original poster.
In recent threads, a parent posts about their child, then someone slings an accusation at Fornits, then the whole thread turns into a Fornits argument and the original subject is lost amongst the arguments regarding Fornits.
It's not fair to the original poster.
If you need more clarification, I will be happy to discuss this further.
Thanks
