But seriously. Why would it be any different if a father of a kid, woke them up at 2am, handcuffed them and put them in a van, and physically forced them to go camping for two weeks. Would it be legal for a parent to do what programs do to kids, if they were to do it themselves? Hmmm.

It just amazes me how parents over at ST throw out advice like it's candy... "hire an escort, send him to wilderness".
