Dating privelege,how far did you go?

Did anyone here have their dating privelege? Were you "in agreement", or were you sucking face in the movie theater? Did yu think it was a joke? Or was i good.
wHO ALL Has known acoupe from RMA to get married. Or do you know of anyone who fell in love post rma,felll in love and got married?

Interesting thought....I say yes to all of the above.

I got my dating privies at CHS a couple months before a guy in the peer group above mine graduated.  We walked into the one horse town of Running Springs...bought junk food in front of the lil country store next to the laundrymat...stayed in agreement the whole damn time cuz we were so darn paranoid that we were being followed and if caught he wouldnt be able to graduate and me neither in a couple months time.  

But we still talk to this day and swear that we are gonna go back and visit the property and violate the stone couch hahaha and all the other places sacred to those farks. LOL

There weren't enough women in my graduating class for anyone to actually get dating privs. There was however on person in my peer group who's "big brother" told him about the process and the permissions that were required from both sets of parents.  From what I was told, the dating couple had to have explicit permission from the parents given to the staff for each "step" that they took.

Dating privs were the first...then if you wanted to kiss the person of the opposite sex you had to get parental permission for "kissing" privs...and on and on until you would get your "sex" privs.  Each priv was explicitly laid out.

My friend who told me about this said that when he told his dad about it after graduation, his fathers reply was that he was glad that his son didn't have the opportunity to date as he felt that it was absurd to control the emotions between two people to the extent that they had to incrementally increase the permission and the microscope that the relationships were put under was rather perverse.

That is the wierdest thing i have ever heard. Yuck! Sometimes a little bit of denial is a good thing!!!!!

I had dating privileges.   I have to say it was great.     After no sexual contact for nearly 2 years,  it was a very welcome change.     I have very fond memories of walking off campus to the old delapitated barn, laying down in warm grass and having a great time for a few hours.   I was  a smoker then and the only thing that would have made it better was to be able to smoke during those excursions.

I remember Dana asking me if I would date the person that I was with if I was not at RMA.   I remember being very confused.   Did it really matter.   We both were having a good time, and neither of us had any silly ideas of love that went beyond friends with benefits and RMA enforced monogamy.  

FYI:  I hear that the guy that I dated is doing great things in his city of choice. A very cool guy who I do not regret hanging out with at RMA.

When I was in late Challenge and came back from my first home visit, I "cleared up" my attraction for a pig named Doily down at the  farm.
I got permission from my family head, Steve Rookey, who knew how important it was that I develop close and honest relationships with livestock as I had an issue with allowing myself to be used by livestock before attending CEDU.
My privileges to see Doily in a romantic capacity were given as soon as I shared my story with her and got permission from Lou, down at the farm, who gave his blessing after reading Doily's written "representation for inter- species dating privileges".

If it hadn't been for RMA's therapy in showing me that not all livestock were human being using selfish pigs, and that I could have a tender and honest relationship with Livestock, as well as my human counterparts,    I never would have had the greatest friend and confidant I've ever had. Doily the pig.
I credit Steve Rookey with seeing the importance and benefit of my spending quality floor time with Doily. What a brilliant facilitator and program to help Doily and me out that way.
