update 11-15-06:0900 Marlene McCord declines to be deposed for PumpGate Marlene McCord, l'assistente personale to Mel Sembler, has been subpoenaed to be deposed today, 11-15-06, but the Semblers' attorneys say their plaintiffs are in compliance and she will not be deposed. According to the article Mel Sembler and the women in his life there appears to be valid reasons to depose Ms. McCord. Is there intelligent life on Treasure Island?

How is this possible? Can someone just "decline" to be disposed?
