Ok I remember exactally who you are!!!! How have you been good I hope. wow major flashback!! I am glad you got out of there ok.  I don't know if you remember me or not but I was tall dark hair got blasted alot because I only had three beers before I went in there.  There is another straight board in yahoo groups that has a lot of Va people there, even some former (but now cool) staff Paul P, Barbara M, and people that you will know over there.

I would be interested in finding out about that yahoo group.

Ya things are fine now but of course didn't start out that way.

I was up most of the night thinking about all the crap I had just read and feeding off of everyone elses anger. Amazing how that works isn't it? Finally I drifted off to sleep, a dreamless one, but of course this site was the first thing on my mind this morning.

Does it sound screwed up to say like I feel like I am at some weird family reunion?

I am still in touch with someone from there, you may remember her and her brother. Carla and Fred Herring. Both are messed up, Freds in Jail. He'll never be out, and Carla is a mess never married 3 kids and trying to hang on by her fingernails.

You know I still ride past that building alot having to run back and forth to Maryland. I usually have to jump off on backlick to avoid that cluster **** at the Springfield exit. I still gets chills thinking about a time they had me running down the road after a cop out and tackling her.

Yeah married, 2nd, 3 kids, just found out I am pregnant again. Which ia a blessing, I just had tubal reversal surgery in Jan. 04.

Mike is 16, Katelyn is 13 and Jacob is 11.
I got pregnant with Michael within a month of cop'n out...

But I just am not ready to go there yet. It's weird I share my testimony all the time will folks. But I feel this shame right his second and need to back slowly away from the computer.

BTW, Good morning...

Time for some coffee.

Hey Christi,
I remember you. You were only there for a few more months after I got there. I also remember Fred and Carla Herring. Too bad to hear about their current situation. I just received contact from Kelly G. who was in around the same time as you and then went on staff a little later. It's amazing how time flies and things change for some of us. I know all about that weird family reunion feeling.

Anyways, good to hear you are doing well, and hopefully more people will show up on the survivor list than on the suicide list.

Aloha,

I am upset about the things christine strickland hobson has just posted about me and my brother. We actually were talking about 2wks ago when she told me about the different straight sites. I mean friends like that who needs enemies, right?  However, I am doing pretty good and now live in Florida for the last four years.  I remember a lot of you from 84-85 and even some of you after straight.  And hi diane! I am sure some of you are curious about my brother Fred and yes he is in jail but it is definitly not for the rest of his life. He goes up for parole in october 2006.  He is into mechanics and has gotten a couple of specialty certificates in different areas of mechanics otherwise he's hangin' tough. If you are interested in talking to me or want to write to Fred you can email me.

Chris Scoggins and Scott Bowers... I remember both names, and Chris, I remember your face and voice. You cried a lot. I cried inside. I'm sure nobody remembers me, as I was doing my best to be as robotic as possible and did finally manage to get out of that place. Once every couple of years I check into these websites to see if any good has come to anyone. I am a reasonably successful artist and musician, NOOO thanks to straight and I was so sorry to hear about Steve Matthews' fate as well as the rest. Anyone remember Peter Coyne, who had severe mental problems but somehow managed to move up in his program? He seventh-stepped and was murdered a short while later over an argument over who would get to sit in the front seat. He was the only guy I'd known before entering the program in Springfield. I see so many names on these boards that sound familiar.

I hope everyone is doing very, very well for themselves. These Sembler people (whose names I never knew while in there) really should suffer some serious consequences for putting that place together. What a horrible waste of human life.
