I'm here.  That sounds great to me.  I think we should stop fuckin' around and get onto it...Let's have it at the building...tell people they can show up as soon as Ferguson closes for the day, whatever time that is.  That way if people wanted to get there early and poke around or help us set up or just B.S. and get acquainted they could.  Maybe some people, like myself, would want to get there early just to sink into it some.  What's the hold-up ?? Let's get the invitation out!

Well, we ain't gonna go for any big time production numbers in St. Petersburg, just an informal gathering, maybe a brief opening statement,  give anyone who wants to a chance to say something, maybe read out the names of the dead, maybe a moment of silence for the dead and still suffering.  The main point is to BE THERE.  Show up and give voice to your memories, or remain silent, but attend and help us remember those of us who are no longer among the living, and those who are alive and suffering.  We'll probably have a floral arrangement, and some candles for everyone.  Nothing fancy or formal, just a memorial.

I kind of like the idea of people maybe showing up an hour early if they feel like it, to hang out and say hi, then we can get on with the memorial at 6:00.

All logged in now.....I think you guys should find out about the site, if not the building, then find out about permits for a park or whaerever.  It would really suck if people showed up for this thing and it got shut down because no one looked into OKing it with the current occupants of the building, or if no one made the five minute phone call it takes to get a permit.  Just sayin'.....

I'll be across the street with a bullhorn reading excerpts from my book, "Gone Way Down" as well as The Seven Steps, Five Criteria Three Signs and Serenity Prayer with the HOPE that perhaps just a little bit of SANITY will find its way back into a few of your godforsaken druggie skulls!  :flame:

Dude we been workin' pretty hard on all this, every day searching the internet and making phone calls to try to procure some site.  Fuck it! Lets do it at the building.  That is where the battle was.  Let's go back there with our flags flyin' and collect our dead and wounded so we can properly honor them.  We need to get permission from Ferguson in writing, under their letterhead.  This is all draggin' out way too long.  That invite needs to go out tomorrow.  People need time to make their travel plans an' such.

I agree entirely, and we tried without success to be able to have it at the Gandy building, but it would suck if it got shut down due to lack of an OK from the current occupants.
