If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

This memorial is for US, as we remember our friends and family members, both living and dead, who have suffered, and, all too often, continue to suffer due to wounds physical, emotional, spiritual,  and psychological.  I don't think we need to turn this into a protest or pep rally, this is not about identifying and blaming the perpetrators--we know who they are and what they did, and they know that we know.  This is about us and our healing process, about remembering our lost friends, about mourning their untimely departure from this world.  It is also, I believe, for the wounded that Straight produced by the score:  The scared, lonely woman who calls you late at night with traumatic memories and frightened thoughts; the guy who can't hold a job because he can't deal with the paranoia he feels when he's outside his house; the man who hasn't been able to find happiness in his personal relationships because he only knows how to express himself by "confronting" others; the guy who is haunted by nightmares about being back in Straight; the woman who resigns herself to being a drug addict because it was drilled into her that she was :powerless over drugs" and now believes she is doomed to a life of addiction because she is a "druggie whore piece of shit"; the people who can't cope with daily life because of the traumatic incidents that they experienced in Straight,; the guys and girls who held such promise at one time, but who are now scarred shadows of their former selves; these are the people that I will mourn alongside the dead;  these are the people who still stand, perhaps barely, as an example of the horrendous crimes that were not only committed against us, but were committed against us in the name    of "love", "honesty", "empathy and sensitivity", and "spirituality".  These are the wounds that we have suffered, individually and collectively,   inflicted on us by evil doers and blind fanatics who had and have no regard for the pain they have caused.  I will mourn the dead and wounded, but I will also take hope and comfort in the presence of so many of us who survived the ordeal, those who are still alive, those that while struggling perhaps, continue to go forward,  minute by minute, reclaiming their lives, therir minds, and their dignity as human beings.  I will take solace in the fact that in spite of the damage done by Straight, we the living can and must carry on, to not only survive, but to thrive; to be a bright beacon of hope to those still suffering; to show all the world, among them those who have committed atrocities against us, that we were not defeated, we were not destroyed, we will not be silenced nor intimidated, we will embody the resilience of the human spirit, we will continue to heal, to learn, to grow, and to live[/b].

Also, I'm wondering what folks want to happen at the service.

Flaming Zambokas shots!!

Burke Lake Park closes at dark (all regional & national parks do).  I think there are a few places near Great Falls that are public property & not a part of the park.  However, that sort of worries me (this is the mom in me) about people possibly drinking near a rapid running river.  I see bad things happing there.  However, if we did this at a park, we could do it during the day time and not a night/6pm after the sun has gone down.

I for one would love to NOT do this at the building.  Being there last time when talking to the Fergesun people was rather creepy.  If that's where everyone decides to go, then so be it - I'll be there.

I want to memorialize other drug war victims, such as Tom Crossslin and Rollie Rohm, who didn't even really see it coming. They had faith that, as free soverign Americans, we can and must stand up for ourselves and what's right and do it right in front of our children. I think they knew full well that they were risking their very lives, especially there toward the end. But I think they also were counting on us, who know the truth, to see what happened to them and to take the message that it's time to wake the fuck up!

Michigan is an important territory in this war, and we have some grass roots support if we'll just recognize each other and commune with each other on our natural common ground. Mich is one of the states wherein DFAF is spending some millions of our stolen earnings (public funding) to fight against good Americans.

Don't let anybody dis you ever about your station in life or relative place in society. These are the biggest, most worthless welfare mamas out there! And they shouldn't be able to get away with slaughtering good men like Tom and Rollie like cur dogs right in front of God and everybody.

I hear ya Ant. but I think we need to just focus on the "victims of $tr8 memorial service" right now, which is becoming tricky enough on it's own.

Fairfax county is thus far unwilling to accomodate our request to gather after sunset in any of its' public parks and a candlelight vigil before dark just aint gonna cut it.  We're running out of options as far as the location goes.  I understand that some folks don't wanta come to the building but unless someone in the local area volunteers to have it on their private property then the building is our only option.  We are still open to suggestions but the time is starting to get a little tight.

The other point I want to make is that the Jews hold memorial services at the former concentration camps(and even have a museum at one that I know of) because that is where the tradgedy occurred, same with the Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor, and the Oklahoma city bombing.  Nothing focuses the spirit like the site of a tradgedy.  Nothing would bring it home or make it more real(all too real for some, I understand) than to hold the service in the former parking lot of the building.  Of course, even in the other examples I gave, not everyone can handle the emotions that may arise from being at the scene of such tradgedies.  There are probably many survivors of those events who do not attend memorials at those sites.

We are trying as best we can to accomodate all the surviors who want to attend the service, which is why we have been trying to find some other site besides the building, but so far our search hasn't panned out.

In addition to finding an appropriate site for the memorial we are still looking for a place to throw the after-party/wake.  If you have any ideas or suggestions or would like to host either or both please let us know.

respectfully, pirate.
