Because they are management and are not required to be unless they are providing any direct conseling to clients or clinical supervision to counselors.

Thank you guest....

Cindy I know you feel vindicated somehow but you havent proven anything. We still dont know how many unlicensed therapist a licensed one can legally supervise, we also dont know what level of services a social worker is able to provide.

You also still need to establish some sort of reliable source for your claim that four more staff are about to become licensed other than "some guy said so".

Oh and Cindy, it's friday, I believe you said you would answer my questions.

Let me know if you need them reposted.

Well, Robert, the question is deeper than that.

It really doesn't matter how many are licensed or not and who supervises them if the program is not licensed in and of itself as both a RTC and a SAC.  A "school" simply cannot legally engage in these services.  It's patently illegal.

The tack we're taking here is not to force individuals to be licensed, but rather the facility itself.

Now, once it has been determined that these services have been provided illegally, then the licensing board will be begin to make legal cases against the individuals illegally providing services as well as the facility.

But we've got to go for cutting the head off - the workers are almost irrelevant.

Hi Bob, how was your week?  I like this arrangement of speaking on Fridays, we got a lot done this week.  So trying to catch up and I said I would start answering your questions, this was from 2 weeks ago:

I guess not....

Cindy,

1. What points specifically do you believe you've "proven us wrong" on?

2. What is your definition of "group therapy"?

3. How do you believe kids should prove their claims of abuse?

4. What specifically have you done to help the kids locked up in these places?

5. Why did you lie claiming ignorace concerning the fact that TBS's lie to state regulators?

6. Why do these places avoid regulation if as you claim they have the kids best interest at heart?

7. What TBS's are bad in your opinion and why?

8. Why dont the people you claim to work with defend you?

9. Why havent the people mentioned in your PM's shown up?

10. Should therapy be given by unlicensed people?

11. Do you believe yourself to have high level of credibility here on fornits?

12. Are you an "axe grinder" with an agenda here?

13.How does you shipping your daughter off to a kiddie prison qualify you to commentate on the entire industry and determine what information parents need and what they dont need?

14. Since we've established that many times the murders that occur in the PTS are swept under the rug or lied about, how can you determine they should not count as homicides?

15. What are the proper procedures for killing a child?

16. Why did you change your mind regarding your feelings on regulation?

17. Why do you believe the person feeding the 300+lbs counselor should be held respondsible for the kids death at Eckerd, when the counselor not only chose to over eat, but to sit on the boy as well?

18. How many program owners do you personally know?

19. How does the fact that you claimed no evidence existed of kids being abused at ASR not translate in your mind to you dismissing their claims?

20. Since you did not experience the school for yourself how can you claim it to be positive?

Nah...your little friend has been pelleting me with questions over the past several weeks and I received some emails and PM's asking if I would ignore his trolling for awhile.  So as a compromise I said I would humor him with some answers on Fridays, so as to not muck up the thread and save some of Gingers' memory space?.Plus Bob needs the attention.

The questions are relevant don?t you think?  Ha,Ha??..

Again I find it funny that you deem me to be a troll yet you are refered to as one almost daily, me...not so much.

Of course again in your mind a troll is a hero and a champion for the underdog-so I guess coming from you its a compliment.

Unless of course we're dealing with another one of your double standards?

Probably.

In any event get to it Cindy.

What points specifically do you believe you've "proven us wrong" on?
All of them

Quote
. What is your definition of "group therapy"?

Therapy with more than one person

Quote
3. How do you believe kids should prove their claims of abuse?

1st step, Go to the authorities

Quote
4. What specifically have you done to help the kids locked up in these places?

I have never seen a child locked up.  If I did I would call the police or break the door down myself.

Quote
5. Why did you lie claiming ignorace concerning the fact that TBS's lie to state regulators?

I didn?t, I was not invited to the meeting where any of that was said nor did I attend.

Quote
6. Why do these places avoid regulation if as you claim they have the kids best interest at heart?

Because they feel the regulation would add no value or benefit the kids.

Quote
7. What TBS's are bad in your opinion and why?

We are starting to collect data at this point to rate the TBS?s on safety, it is preliminary.

Quote
8. Why dont the people you claim to work with defend you?

I don?t need defending, my points are clear and the truth eventually comes out.

Quote
9. Why havent the people mentioned in your PM's shown up?

They have, but they really aren?t internet/forum type people.

Quote
10. Should therapy be given by unlicensed people?

I really don?t know the laws, I believe if they are under the guidance of a licensed therapist, yes.  But I would refer this to a professional who knows the laws/ protocol etc.

Quote
11. Do you believe yourself to have high level of credibility here on fornits?

I really don?t know or care.  That only matters to people like yourself and DJ.  I work to make life better for the kids, I don?t care what people think of me.

Quote
12. Are you an "axe grinder" with an agenda here?

No

Quote
13.How does you shipping your daughter off to a kiddie prison qualify you to commentate on the entire industry and determine what information parents need and what they dont need?

My daughter has never been to prison, so I wouldn?t know

Quote
14. Since we've established that many times the murders that occur in the PTS are swept under the rug or lied about, how can you determine they should not count as homicides?

I didn?t see where that was established.  I would call the police and expose the people involved.  I only count homicides/suicides if it is classified by the authorities as such.  I don?t do what you or some people here on  fornits do and reclassify a death because they  believe something different than what the judge ruled

Quote
15. What are the proper procedures for killing a child?

Hmmmm.  Got me on that one, I?ll have to refer this to the mass murderers

Quote
16. Why did you change your mind regarding your feelings on regulation?

I don?t believe I have

Quote
17. Why do you believe the person feeding the 300+lbs counselor should be held respondsible for the kids death at Eckerd, when the counselor not only chose to over eat, but to sit on the boy as well?

I think the counselor was misled about how many calories were in his meals and the scales were fixed, so he thought he only weighed 150 lbs

Quote
18. How many program owners do you personally know?

None

Quote
19. How does the fact that you claimed no evidence existed of kids being abused at ASR not translate in your mind to you dismissing their claims?

I believe the kids ?feel? they were abused, so I don?t dismiss it

Quote
20. Since you did not experience the school for yourself how can you claim it to be positive?

Because I witnessed and was part of the process and outcome.  When I see someone?s face who just crossed the finish line and has just won the race I can see that he was successful and I don?t really need to be in his shoes to know he feels good about himself and his accomplishments, although I agree, it would be nice to experience it first hand.

Francis Bartolomeo-Director of Counseling-Licensed Social Worker

Tanya Beecher- Clinical Counselor-Licensed Social Worker

Sabrina Herman-Clinical Counselor-Licensed Social Worker

That's it, that's all the staff at ASR (not counting Ralphy who is there as a consultant) who can legally practice therapy.

According to the school the kids have:

group therapy 3 times a week

special group therapy once a week

individual therapy once a week.

If ASR is set up anything like HLA (and it is thanks to Cindy's hero Rudy Bentz) the director of counseling probably doesnt deal with the kids a whole lot, rather the staff.

That leaves these two women to handle the entire student population (which as it turns out is 100, not 200) because as we all know ASR would never do anything so illegal as allow unlicensed staff to practice therapy either in group or individual settings.

Right Cindy?

While youre evading that the issue has been settled, let's move on to the proper licensure issue. Mass Im sure has something equivalent to to the ORS in GA.

Here is the link to the registry of residental programs, as we can all search and see for ourselves, ASR is not listed. I guess that means they arent licensed.
