Hey. I've been exploring the other straight program topics, and the name Sembler keeps coming up. I knew a Mel Sembler in Pathway. He was the grandfather of one of the clients in there with me. I know he had something to do with Straight in the past. Is this the Sembler that I keep seeing in the other forums? What's his deal? EMSR

Yes, the Semblers have a deep-rooted history with Straight and it was haunting when it came full circle finding their grandson in Pathway. You can trace the Sembler's all the way back to the beginning of Straight, back to the late 70's early 80's I believe.

It's not at all surprising to me that Melvin and Betty would subject their own grandson to the Program. That just confirms my belief that they're true believers just like Hitler thought he was the savior of the German people.

But how recently were you in Pathway? How involved were Melvin and Betty? And is there any chance that this guy would be willing to publicly acknowledge the family's ongoing direct involvement?

I entered Pathway May 21, 1999 and graduated the program on July 21 2001. I only saw Mel on the day his grandchild was intaked and MAYBE one or two other times. Surprisingly, after a few months, the kid's parents tried to get him to leave and said they were going to have nothing to do with PFC anymore, (it was taking him too long)but they were paid up to a certain point in advance, and their kid being 18, chose to stay until graduation. I found this very strange that his parents or grandparents no longer attended or supported a program that they helped to establish! EMSR
