Speaking of cheap and easy entertainment, looks like DJ ran with his tail between his spindly little legs.
Someone stuffed a rag in his mouth finally. The HLA staff has laughed their asses off at his rantings, and finally did something about it.
Even though no one ever took him seriously, DJ was an irritating fly on the ass of the HLA higher ups. He done got swatted big time.

I recently talked to two kids who came out of HLA within the last year and both thought it was fine. They didn't like it because of all the restrictions, but they thought the program did a good job with emotional growth. One girl had an eating disorder and went on to a regular boarding school and the other kid got pulled early due to financial reasons and went into the Marines. Neither kid was abused or damaged in any way.

Face it, something pretty dramatic must have happened for everything to change like this , and at the same time for certain posters to just evaporate completely.

Somebody must know the story!

Post it up, some of us'll get a chance to see it before the "Moderator" (ha-ha-ha) deletes it.

Which would, of course, suggest that you really DO think the opinions offered here influence parents and prospective parents.

Oh, how I love it being stalked by two program parents. Karen and Anne, you are both ridiculous. If you think HLA has any power to shut me up or otherwise "modify" my behavior, you're crazier than the ideas you espouse.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to attend to your nonsense lately, but I've been busy traveling and writing a doctoral thesis (something neither one of you will ever need to worry about :wink: ). It's time for you two to move on, get a life, get a grip and start harassing your kids again instead of me.

This may come as a total shock, but there are many other people out there that think DJ, Deborah and their lemmings are blowing it out their ass. I am not Karen or Anne and have never posted on ST, whatever that is.
I happen to know people connected with the industry and know that most of what is posted on this forum is excellent fiction- nothing more.

Since you already admited that your friends work in the industry, then it's no wonder why you've swallowed all of the Behavior Mod good-program bullshit! Anyways, it is clear by the fact that you made no mention of it, that you never attended HLA personally; therefore, you have no first hand knowledge of what HLA is really like. There are many words I can think of to describe people like yourself whose personal convictions are based soley on what others tell them, I personally believe the term "Ignorant Fool" describes you best.

Now, that's one sudden doctoral thesis. I mean what about the dozens of posts a day in the recent past?

Yeah, I'd agree "There's not much more to say about HLA at this point". The truth is: predictions of an imminent shut-down, the school not meeting payroll, the supposed little army of spies within the school, well it all came to nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

I'd almost feel sorry for the humiliation that completely unsubstantiated posts could cause a person except when said person has breen such a jerk to so many people.

I for one am not buying a sudden disappearance to pursue academic issues. It's something else, it may be as simple as the old lady saying "You're spending too much time at that computer terminal". It may embarrassment because all these HLA predictions amounted to nothing. It may be something more.

Keep hoping that somebody with an inside track on the subject will belly up with some info.
