Listen silly person. If you are in an environment where sex and sexual activity is prohibited, that environment is going to enhance and encourage you to recognize women as more than just a sexual object.
Its seems a moot point to discuss this for several reasons. First is the topic. Masturbation.

Theres no doubt in my mind that these kids did what most kids their age did...they jerked off in the shower.
Secondly, The mojority of teens simply dont have active sex lives. Thats not to say no kids have sex, of course they do but I think youre dilusional if you think teens are either Having sex on a regular basis or being deprived of a right to have sex or act in a sexual way towards others.
Another reason it may be silly to discuss this with you is that you are obviously one of the many bandwagoners who think there was absolutely nothing good, or positive or beneficial or reasonable about Elan and its program.
This is always a black and white issue. Either everyone has to agree with the opinion that Elan was absolutely worthless and lacked any positives what so ever, or they are an Elan supporter or apologist and their observations and opinions are biased.

I attended Elan in the 80s, for 25 months, and to be perfectly honest, I dont recall being overwhelmed by the fact that I could not act in a sexual way towards women, or have any sexual contact with them. At 15, I judged women by appearances and sexual appeal.
Are they fuckable yes or no. If not, I want nothing to do with them.
Most teen boys feel the same way at that age.
Is there a better environment to learn how to recognize women for their qualities? If sexual contact isnt an option Id say fuck yeah!
Is the 18-24 months in Elan really removing some sort of right of a child to pursue sexual urges and attractions? I think not. Since most kids at that age have not had any sort of ongoing sexual relationship, or ANY sexual relationship...I dont thin Elan reduced their oportunities by a recognizable degree.
On the other hand, kids are not stupid. Sure, they go from Elan to college, or wherever, and are forced to relate to women in an atmosphere where sexual activity is now possible. But you cant convince me that whatever skills kids may have missed out on in pursuit of "getting some" wont soon be adapted and used.
Hell I had sex the second day out of Elan. The only thing I had to do was tell the girl I hadnt had sex in 2 years, and bam!...she unleashed the lion.
I think its relevant to say that even thouh kids leaving Elan may lack a few social skills involved with attracting the oposite sex...I dont think the same rules apply to the people who may be attracted to the kids who were in Elan. If a girls interested and attracted to you, shes gonna get you in the sack no matter how much Elan brainwashing youve endured.
