makes me wonder that when I said "fuck you" to annother anon poster, it was deleted by the moderator; when another anon called someone an "asshole", it was not deleted.  I guess "fuck you" is far worse than calling someone an "asshole".   That's what I mean by "makes me wonder".

Oh get over it already.  Somone directly called someone an asshole and I deleted it.  Someone else made a joke about it and I let it stand.

It is at my discretion.  Sorry but I am not perfect and won't make everyone happy all the time.  I will not police language, I will only delete personal attacks with little or no substance.  Blurting fuck you or your an asshole at someone as the main content in a post qualifies for that.  Making a joke that includes these words does not.  My goal is to moderate content as little as possible, and then only to prevent giving people a forum to visciously attack other people.  You can do that elsewhere if that is within your personality, but here the goal is to let your argument prevail on substance, not attacks.

Greg,

You do an excellent job of minimally moderating this forum. Threads like this are the exception here. I have learned and grown so much from what I read here - I get nothing out of personal attacks and they're usually not clever enough to be amusing.

Thanks Cleveland.  I appreciate that because moderation is a bit controversial around here. I just wanted a place that illicited real discussion and not attacks.  Maybe it holds down the amount of content, but I hope it improves the overall quality.

Hey, I could care less about your moderation.  If you want to delete one, and not another tha tis ok with me.

I have too much going on in my life to worry about a moderation on the posts.

So did Connie get married again?   I thought this thread was going somewhere informative.  Is she alone because of her attitudes and belief system she no doubt cultivated at the seed?
