You're line of reasoning doesn't float. What I said is absolutely TRUE. Every single professional in the psychiatric arena knows full well that ASR and ASR-like facilities DO NOT WORK. It has been abundantly proven through clinical research. Kindly show me ONE SINGLE CLIINICAL STUDY that shows ASR is effective and I'll gladly concede the point. However, until that happens, I'll be forced to acknowledge that there are DOZENS UPON DOZENS of clinical studies that show the opposite.
What kind of "well-respected" clinician espouses a modality that has been thoroughly debunked many years ago? I submit that no professional, well-educated, well-respected clinician would do that. If you say otherwise, then you'll have to peddle your wares somewhere else where the cumulative IQ's are sharply lower than here.
What you are asking me to do is cast aside over 50 years of research findings and subscibe to ASR methodology based on "faith" and rejection of scientific method. It's the same reasoning used by the proponents of "intelligent design," i.e. Blind Faith - Scienctific Method - Reason and Accountablity = Truth. What garbage!
Also, you and people like you keep coming on here and saying things like this without a SHRED of evidence to bolster your claims. Until you have evidence that PROVES YOUR POINT as I have proven mine time and again, you will be corrected in regard to the FACTS.
Your lack of education in the field of psychology stands out clearly. You think that ASR is reinventing the wheel. This is not so. Your "program" is nothing but a dredged up, cobbled together compilation of junk-science and pseudo-psychology made from the remians of concepts that have been long dead and buried in the professional world for DECADES.
I personally don't have to "give ASR a chance" because its methodologies were given exhaustive "chances" over years of study that prove without a shadow of a doubt that they have NO BASIS in mental health treatment. All you are doing at ASR is rehashing the failures of your predecessors.
