John Hiatt is a Hyde School parent, and is still involved in that HAPA cult. Ages ago I used to listen to him...

Every year, Hyde parents John Hiatt, Michael McDonald, and Don Cook sponsor a trip to Nashville for select students at Hyde. Of course not everyone gets to go; this is one of those carrots employed by The Process.

In 2004, then music teacher Earl Bigelow allegedly took sexual advantage of one of the students during the trip. He, although no longer employed by Hyde, still lives in the same town and continues to enjoy favorable coverage of his musical endeavors in Hyde alumni news pieces and the like. She, on the other hand, got and continues to get maligned and disparaged, and was basically expelled, from what I heard.

Hyde School has been down this particular road of fairy tale telling so many times before that they have the protocol down pat. They will protect their so-called reputation at any cost, even to the point of destroying some kids' lives in the process -- it's always the victim's fault, never the perp's. I'll bet you my best bear suit that a number of years from now, they'll give Bigelow some "Excellence in Teaching Award" to drive the final nail in that coffin.

Bailter Space--Robot World

I saw those guys back in the mid/late 90s.  I think they are from New Zealand, but I could be wrong on that. Pretty cool stuff, spacey but rockin'.  They had this real cool song called "Fascination" (not the Human League song).  The lead guy was pretty trashed by the end of the night, after Bailter Space finished their set, he sat at the bar and drank A LOT.

On one hand, I hate to admit I like this really a lot, but on the other, maybe I don't really care if people think I'm a "teenybopper"... LOL   Man, the dude on the bass is on time every time. I think some more guitar would be better, but, then again, I ain't no rock star, LOL.
