Nick D's death was really sad for me. I wasn't really friends with him while I was there but he contacted me because he found my email address on the web. He was OUT OF HIS MIND on something, I don't know what. Maybe it was a couple of things. Anyway, I saw him a few times because he seemed like he really needed to talk to someone. It was like he was already dead and trying to find a reason not to die. Anyway, he must have talked about me to his father because about 2 weeks after I had found out he died, his father called me practically crying. He didn't speak english that great and I still have no idea why he would call me of all people. But he just kept saying..."my son, my son." It was some kind of call to get on a Tuesday morning at the office, let me tell you that much!! I am pretty sure that the reason he fell off the deep end was because of a girl. He carried pictures of him and this gorgeous girl from the trips they took to places like Greece and the tropics. Then she left him for one of his friends. I don't think he ever got over her.
