...I know I said I might lay low for a while...didn't know if I's comin' or goin 'n' such... but I feel O.K. now I just don't wanna make friends with a bunch a people who knew me in $tr8, or even ever'one who comes along from this board...dig ??  Aint tryin' to be cold but a lot of mutherfuckers get my neckhairs up ... dig ??  

An' today I feel a surge of hostility risin' up in me.  What with the shit ex-prisoner brings up and all the other beautiful people who were raped and mind-raped by $tr8.  I feel like I been robbed of sumthin, raped a sumthin.  I feel my anger bein' whipped.  This site taps my buried anger and brings it to life.

Here's an idea; throw yourself into the rest of your life and stop tormenting yourself with all the shit this website reminds you of.  As some have said lately, this website has lost its way; its purpose; its meaning.  Time to move on and repalce all the negativity that is perpetuating itself here.

Nah, the website hasn't lost its way.  A couple of people went nuts and tried to ruin it for the rest of us.   The website is what we decide to make of it.

I think of Pirate as a friend. Although I do not know him personally, I have bantered with him over time and have found him completely "thrown" into his life. Asking him to "stop tormenting himself" implies that there is a choice...Perhaps there is, he can vent and explore/examine his inner-landscape at the moment or he can just swallow it and "move on". (sounds like a tough love move to me) Almost assuring that "it" will perpetuate itself.

Where else can he discuss memories of Straight...Where else do you expect him to gather with other folks who have had a similar experience...

Ya said that someone said, "this website has lost its way; its purpose; its meaning." Perhaps for you, and that other person this website has lost it's meaning for them as well as yourself. Have you lost your purpose for this site? If so, happy trails.

It is suggested that he "replace all the negativity that is perpetuating itself here." Sounds like a pipe dream (an empty suggestion...like those of Straight) until such time that a demonstrable example of how this might be done.

I would like to know how reasonable this "reasoning" is.  

Sorry, but to me this cant be written by a survivor...maybe a parent of a survivor. It just sounds too Straight-Like....imho

Blame, Blame, Blame.

I was suggeting that if he gets these feelings everytime coming to this website, maybe stop coming.

Don't read too much into my statement woof.  Whatever works for people to GENUINELY feel better I'm all for.

Why are you talking to yourself? Have you wondered why you have to do that? Why no one else seems to agree with you? Is it possible that you're the one w/ the distorted take on things?
