Elan School (Personal experiences)
« on: November 11, 2005, 02:10:00 PM »
I would love to hear everyone's personal experience they encountered at Elan. I think if we al put into it, we can can the message out to thousands and thousands maybe even millions of people throught he use of this site. There is too much arguing amongst people here, lets let that be a thing of the past now. Nobody wins, all arguments end now.Lets expose these criminal's that run Elan, lets let the world know how awful a place it was and still is. If everyone can contribute, I think the media would want to look into this and perhaps will help us exploit Elan. But first we need to stick together and put all differences aside, lets end the name calling, and the blatant insults.I too am not a perfect individual and have been one that likes to argue, but I am willing to set all my differences aside and make this site work and live up to a potential tool, that can help aide and exposing the evil that is elan.If we really want to make this work, we need only to tell the truth. I know there is alot of funny humor regarding some staff, but if you really want to be taken seriously and be heard, all that needs to be put to the side.Lets start off by telling our personal experiences of the place and what lunacy we witnessed happend to ourselfs and others. It would also help if that if you do decide to participate in this discussion, to not by anonymous, you dont have to come forward and say who you are, just make up a simple screen name so that we can all identify with each other and converse more easily.

I would especially loved to hear from recent students that recently got out of elan.I hear that elan is no where near as dangerous o the place that it once was, but I still would love to know exactly what they have changed and what kind of new abuse the school has adapted too.I have a eeling that they got smarter and found another way to mind fuck the teen.J.Gottlieb always use to say, (you can go through Elan 2 ways, the hard way, or the motherfucker way)I personally think Jeff loved putting all students through the mother fucker way, he got a sick thrill from it.Ofcoarse there were some that kissed ass and were brown nosers to Gottlieb, and Gottlieb acknowledged it and took advantage of it for his own personal gain.I remember he had students wash his car and him giving them cigarettes or their work.

I just graduated in December after about 3 years. Many mixed feelings of resentment looking back on it now. Im just glad I didnt know about all this crazy shit while i was there, would have made it alot harder... Well, shit has definetly changed from what I read here. Of course we got injustices, and had to put up with some garbage that just didnt make sense, but being once of only 3 coordinators for my last 6 or so months was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, and I doubt if I'll ever be faced with such a challenging situation ever again. I played my cards right, I was under 18 the majority of my stay, so I figured, only one way out, ya know? I was in E-3 and Jeff was my phone call contact. I also actually live only 5 min away from him. I think he is a great man, and i cannot believe some of the things i see here. Of course things that happened in the past to some of you guys that are unforgivable, but while i was there all the staff were very caring, and the most neglect i ever recieved was not being able to use the bathroom. And that was because i would be COD getting all the non strength to the bathroom. Your all right about the school system sucking ass, I made high honors and put in no effort, besides being polite to the teachers. Big self esteem boost, until I sat in my first college class at Husson college in Bangor. I went thru my "im signing out" phases, but I never could do it. After all was said and done, I'm glad I stuck it out. I'm sorry to hear about some of the shit you guys had to put up with. Oh yea, you guys will get a kick out of this... I worked at Scarboro Downs as a chef this past summer. (Scarboro downs, formerly owned by Joe Ricci, now by Sharon Terry). That shit sucked... ended up quitting after 3 weeks. Picture the elan 3 main kitchen, except in scarborough instead of poland. Same sysco food too. anyways, I wish you all well, hope to hear from some of you.
