P.U.R.E., Inc. (Parents Universal Resource Experts), is based in Florida.
The owner is Sue Scheff.
Scheff's child was a "student" at a WWASPS (World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools) facility and during that time, Scheff was reportedly the most successful referrer they had ever had.
Scheff later became a vocal critic of the schools and began her own referral agency, P.U.R.E., Inc.
Scheff is not certified as an educational consultant.
Despite a criminal investigation into abuse at Whitmore Academy, Scheff continued to refer children to the facility.
Even though the investigation has resulted in 7 counts of child abuse and hazing against owner Cheryl Sudweeks, Scheff continues to support Whitmore Academy and has been critical of those making the allegations of abuse.
