I was contacted today by a reputable major magazine doing a story on the troubled teen industry a buyer beware they are looking for a parent who had a child in a wilderness program and had a horrific experience, with had they had the knowledge of rights, licensing, etc. would have made a different choice.  Please email me directly at parforres1@aol.com with contact information.

Yes, but be certain you don't contact these folks (at this secret magazine) if you had any positive experiences, or if you actually read your parent manual. Not interested, obviously . . . just looking for dirt. Sounds like this is really legit.  :roll:

Since 1980 there have been 39 deaths at wilderness, 14 at boot camps.

I have a parent whose child had a positive experience in a Wilderness program did not go through a EC and found it on her own after lots of research.  

When you assume things well then you know the rest.  

And FYI this publication contacted me knows of ST and TT industry and is not wanting to talk to them, they are writing about what they want with whom they want.  

I am sure it will be well balanced they are a long time national publication with a great reputation.  

So instead of anonys being jealous and one sided without all your information - be for real.

Jeez!  For those who want to help respond please.

How many children have died in their public or private high schools since 1980? I would imagine the number would be much, much higher.

BFD, a parent had a postive experience at a Brat Camp.  Just shows you don't really understand the issues at hand, Andrea.  This is about kids and THEIR experience.  Kids don't fund these programs, troubled parents do.  Get it now?

You're comparing a population of millions with a population of thousands.  Take a look at the RATE of deaths or serious injuries and you'll get an eye opener.
