You people seem to miss the point that this was a question to see how other people felt. Its not how I feel. You people dont seem to read the posts enough. And another thing, as I look around I see one person, and one person alone bitching at me, the famous anon. I mean come on, if you really dont like what I ask, then log in and say it. Three Springs added something to the converstion, Antigen did, and every one that logged in really seemed to accutally have something to add. The anons just called me crazy, and were unable to know the differance between a statement and a question.

maybe not much is being added because what you have to say isnt worth adding to...

but you'll have to ask them. You were pretty graphic in your post. In my years of working in programs Ive been told a lot of things but not that someone wished I was dead or that someone would consider killing me. That kind of hatred isnt productive and most folks know it.

Here's what you wrote, and why people are up in arms about it:

OK, you are asking questions. But they are suggestive, and they make the reader feel as though you feel that way yourself. And you need to know that people post anonymously because they don't want their identy revealed on a forum where they know darn well that industry people read and post on daily. It's not hard to figure that one out. And if they don't want a log in name where people can go back and track all of their posts, then so be it too. Why would they? Besides, you're not giving us your real name. I doubt others call you "OverLord".

Nope, I said a mother and father were abusing their child as they sat on, her I think it was, or maybe a him anyway, they sat on him/her, and I believe that to be child abuse.

It is obvious that he is young and idealistic, albeit a fool. I admire idealism, but detest fools. He has no real world, first hand knowledge of the programs. He?s never been to one, ever visited one, never worked at one. In a court of law his statements would be dismissed as hearsay.  Not to mention that some of his statements could be seen as conveying a terrorist threat.  I?m sure that he will make a fine supply officer.  :lol:

Foolish? Or just old fashioned? I can remember the day when, in frustrated anger, just anybody might say something like "I could strangle you!" or "Your dad's gonna kill you!" w/o anybody calling out the anti-terrorist task force of CYS. My, my, how times have changed.

The real irony here is that, quite often, these LGA/Synanon style programs induce intense anxiety, up to and including fear of death or even actual life threatening conditions in the the breaking down phase of "treatment." But just you go and suggest that some of their victims might occasionally think about doing them violence in some theoretical way and, oh my! Do they get bent out of shape over that!

Here's a clue for you folks. When your kid gets wind of your plans to send them of, especially if the get the news from a couple of hired thugs who show up in their bedroom one night, it's far worse than a carelessly stated threat of violence. OL is just venting frustration, maybe looking for some validation. You bastards, on the other hand, actually risk your kids' lives and welbeing by turning them over to lunatic hippies w/o question or any sort of supervision.

Some people can dish it out but just can't take it.
