You, on the other hand, were an abominable failure with your own child. Because of your own shortcomings and propensity to project and blame others for your own behavior, your child suffered. Don't ever forget that.

No matter how you rail at me, you are, and always will be, an abject failure at the most important aspect of human relations, raising one's children. At least I have no such burden to bear. I can see why you get so upset when challenged about your choices and attitude. Being an (objective and subjective)failure is simply unbearable for you. You should have thought about that earlier - you can't change it now

The thought of you mentoring and caring for young men and women is truly frightening.  Plus, you have absolutely no idea whether I was a failure with my child, whether I harmed my child, or whether I even HAVE a child!  This is because you have absolutely no idea who I, or any of the other anonymous posters on this forum, are!

Like I said, you can say whatever you want about me.  That will never erase the suffering you inflicted on your own child.  

All of your anger toward me comes from the fact that I enumerated exactly who you are and exactly what you've done to your child.  THAT'S what makes you so angry: being exposed for the lowly cretin and program tool that you truly are.  You don't like being called a lazy and shiftless failure of a parent because it slams home with you - right between the eyes.

Only the truth creates vehemet reactions like yours.  Your distraction focuses.  Your denial confirms.  "The lady doth protest too much..."

The sad part is that if you had a chance to do it all over again, you would.  In a heartbeat.

All of my disgust (you aren't worthy of anger) towards you comes from the fact that you are have nothing better to do than amuse yourself by attacking others.  While you were gone this thread was dead- you HAD to come back and get it going. Exactly what is it you think anyone on this board has done to their children? Can you give specific examples of what all these Anons have done? Do you know their kids?  Do you know where they are now or what programs they were in?  
No-in your ignorance you make blanket accusations and crass comments about parents you assume have done something which offends your sense of right and wrong. You have no background, no conception of who you are blaming and no ability to make any educated comments.  So- the bottom line would be- SHUT UP.

Hey NCL.  Thanks for thinking of me!  Vacation was great, and sorely needed.  

I've become a workaholic just to keep up with the "rat race" I always swore I would not get caught up in.  Doesn't it suck when reality sets in?

Anyway, Karen missed me so much I felt obligated to come on in and deny her gratification.  It's funny to watch an adult react exactly like a child when you put the program on them.  I guess that proves the program works, but not as intended.

Take away control, deny gratification, throw in some negative observations, blow them out of all sense of proportion and SHAZAM!  Adults (even supposedly "high-functioning" ones, like an attorney) turn into angry, resentful, acting-out teenagers.

What's even more twisted to me, and a bit baffling, is how these dolts expect their child is going to fare better when the program is inflicted upon them "up close and personal" with the unflinching support of their "loving parents" going to the program instead of them.  

For the parents, it's kind of like watching a firefight on TV.  Nice and antiseptic.  They never have to pull the trigger or carry the bodybags, so they simply don't understand what exactly they have done to their children.

Yeah, DJ,  I know too well about the workaholic rat race and at times it really does suck...leaves so little time to enjoy any semblance of quality free time.

Funny yeah, certain anons are ridiculous to say the least, but more sad than anything....because kids really suffer when they end up in a program from hell because certain anons and/or parents refuse to accept any responsibility for their child's issues (children's problems reflect the family's problems)....and programs are experts at shifting all the blame on children. Convenient for parents dont you think? And I think a lot of the anger that trolls shovel by the truckload is a reflection of the "how dare you accuse a parent of possibly making a mistake" attitude that is far to common. God forbid if anyone correctly points out their real responsibility in all this program madness.

Maybe we should be more sympathetic towards the brainwashed trolls...NOT! :roll:

No, parents dont have the first clue about the unspeakable horrors inflicted upon their children...Not only do many parents fail to  investigate programs or ask enough questions, but programs are also masters at hiding abuse from parents....I have just recently started telling my dad bits and pieces about the abuses in Straight that I witnessed and experienced 20 years ago...he's horrified as he had no clue abuse went on. My dad also told me today that sending me there was one of the biggest mistakes in his life...and he made that mistake because he desperatly wanted to "help me"...its hard to hear my dad acknowledge that he got sucked into the lies and that he bought every last lie Straight told to parents.

So the lies to parents just keep on coming, year in year out, and parents dont wake up (if they wake up that is) til its way too late to undo the damage cause by the programs deceit.

Your alittle behind there anon, we have had plenty of parents post as anon. We most people infact do post as anon simply because they are to lazy to get a log in, or because they are foolishly scared, or any other number of reasons. We have had anons from the programs, we have had anons frmo the staff, we have had anon parents and anon kids. If she wants to take about a anon parents that sent his or her kid way, it has most likely been posted here.
