i won't let your story go untold
i hope you found your valhalla at the end of your troubled road
time's gone by and days collide and love and life explode
i know now that you're never coming home
i understand you're never coming home

frost upon my windshield
i can barely see the morning sky
that december sun is rising
and i can't escape the memory of your eyes
and when i saw you down in the ironbound
and how you said my name and how i lied
i'll be forever haunted

i won't let your story go untold
i hope you found your valhalla at the end of your troubled road
time's gone by and days collide and love and life explode
i know now that you're never coming home
i understand you're never coming home

my god the way they broke you down
twisted your beauty into something no one could recognize
how i wish i could turn back time
just to see that smile grace your face one more time
sometimes i wish it was me instead
that you were still here and i was the one that died
you know i'd give anything

i won't let your story go untold
that's a promise that i promise to uphold
staring down at your grave and i'm shaking off the cold-

Thank you. You're giving depth and meaning where once there was the emptiness of senselessness. Thanks again.
