No threat just a promise to spend every resource to make sure no child is ever hurt by joyce harris providing money and transportation to a place full of illegal drugs not to mention the ability to make parents suffer because she thinks she can call them brainwashed when she has never even met them.

There is no frenzy!! Just everyone on this forum seems to be so immature, i have no idea who the hell Cheryl is, and to be perfectly honest, i hope they find out she really is guilty and they put her in jail... if all this is true... If someone does something illegal, epecially to kids, or in this case a friend of mine, i think they should rot in a cell for the rest of their lives... Yet I still dont agree with people on this forum degrading each other, because there is no point to it... I really honestly just want to learn more about this school and what is going on there, I have a friend currently there that I am worried about and I just would like to know the truth so I have some idea if they are alright or not!!! So please dont accuse me of sticking up for Cheryl or anyone else, because Im here for a different reason from many others, Yes I want them to be charged if its true, but mostly just so my friend can come home and I know they are then safe! If you believe im sticking up for these people that might possibly be doing things to children that i personally think are sick, you are dead wrong! Ive already said to a friend of mine, if Cheryl ever touched me in anyway or anyone else did i would flip the fuck out and start going crazy, and I would fight back, I dont care what happens to me, I will not b degraded by an adult, no matter who they are, in fact I will not be degraded by anyone!!! All I want to know is the truth so I can then know if my friend is ok!! No Cheryl over my back sorry, I think if she were I would beat the shit out of HER! I think its sick and wrong that two people that are running a SCHOOL with CHILDREN have all these counts against them, and the state of Utah is still letting them run this school! I think if even one were to ever come up,the school should be shut down until they are found innocent, and if they are found guilty, then it just never opens...

Anonymous who said "this is no frenzy."
Luckily your parents have never placed you in a facility like Whitmore, and you have never experienced the dynamics of this cult-like atmosphere. You are coming from the real-life-how-you-would-react mentality.
The people here are from two extremes; so the arguments will continue to be extreme.
Those who support the Sudweeks will continue to try and deflect the argument away from the FACT that Cheryl Sudweeks has been CHARGED with child abuse.
Notice that the attack is on to others, and that the TRUE BELIEVERS still do not accept or want to even discuss the fact that authorities have enough proof to charge this woman with abuse...and are still investigating Cheryl and her husband, Mark Sudweeks.

NO, NO NO!!!! I said there is no frenzy because someone said I was going on a frenzy or something! Trust me I do understand why people are acting the way they do, yet i think it could be done in a way in which they could change the other sides mind, I personally, like i said before, have a friend currently at the whitmore, and I cannot wait until they get home, I wanted them to come home directly after the parents weekend, but they never did... I really miss them and if ANYTHING ever happened to them, I will go crazy, these people i agree need to be locked up and pay for what they have done, if it was really done, which i believe it was... we shall see, hopefully time will SOON tell!

This Whitmore parent loyalty smacks of the same song-and-dance we heard from the WWASPS supporters ... ironic isn't it?

Parent loyalty? Who leaves their kid in a program when the owner has been legally charged with child abuse? Those parents should be held legally responsible if one of their kids gets hurt from the day the charges were filed!

That's what I don't understand, my mother would never place me in a school where there was even RUMORS of something wrong going on in the school facility... I guess the parents just had no other choice, I know my friends parents were at the end, they had no where else to turn, unfortunately they were not provided with all the information about the things wrong with the school, and still werent until after they already saw a change in their child, therefore they felt all their prayers were answered... still I dont think my mother would keep me in that place!!

What do you mean "the parents have no choice."
How about keeping the kid at home and doing their job? Private counsling, being a parent themselves?

Personally I think these parents are in denial because they are ashamed to admit they made a mistake placing their kid at this program.

Either that or they simply don't care. It's better than having to deal with their children themselves?

The parents may have made mistakes, but not for one moment can any of these parents be accused of not caring!!! Not for a moment.

I agree except in the case of parents who would choose to leave their child in any program that is under investigation and where the owner of the program has been charged with abuse.

That just doesn't make any sense.

Please help me to understand this.  I don't want to misjudge these parents as I'm sure they do mean well.  But why aren't they putting their kids needs first and removing them from a program that may not be healthy for them????

P.S.  What are the ages of the kids still there?  Youngest to oldest?
