Someone want to state exactly what law was broken?
First of all, the boys were not forced to leave Whitmore, they did it on their own. Where were they for the two days they were in Nephi -- before they boarded the plane, train or bus?
Why did they leave Whitmore? Boredom? So what?
But, I don't think so. Look at the history of kids that leave and are taken back -- one girl was forced to stay in "the room" in the same clothes for over a week -- no shower -- no bathroom without an escort -- every meal served to her was spit on.
Then there are the two girls who ran and were taken back and beaten up by another student, with the approval of Cheryl.
Then, of course, there is the story of Joey, the beating he took, and his assisted help down the stair by Cheryl.
Then there is another boy, he too was assisted down the stairs by Cheryl.
The abuse goes on and on.
IT'S TIME TO FOCUS ON WHY THESE BOYS LEFT WHITMORE, NOT HOW THEY LEFT.
DO THEIR PARENTS KNOW OF THE ABUSE CHARGES AGAINST CHERYL? WHY WOULD A PARENT TAKE A CHANCE WITH THE SAFETY OF THEIR CHILD? IF THE STATE FEELS THERE IS ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO BRING CHARGES, YOU WOULD THINK THERE WOULD BE A VERY GOOD POSSIBILITY THAT THE CHARGES ARE TRUE. WHAT KIND OF PARENT TAKES THAT KIND OF GAMBLE?

??WOULD THEY NOT RATHER BE SAFE THAN SORRY?
