Ok, I should know better by now, but I have to chime in.
Rob, of course I don't know you. But I've read enough about you and know enough about how these therapy cults work to have a fairly good idea what I'm looking at. I had a good friend in the Program w/ me. When I went in, he was short and fat. Next time I saw that lovable sob he was, no kidding, 6'4" and mean
looking. So, whenever a newcomer needed (in the opinion of staff, anyway) a little rough treatment, they'd always call on Steve for it. And, having played the game almost as long as I had (his family were in The Seed too) he delivered his lines, played his part just as convincingly as he had to. And, I'm guessing (no, more than guessing, I knew this kid well) sometimes he enjoyed it. Who wouldn't. Kid ate shit for so long, once in awhile the kid on the hot seat maybe had pissed him off somehow anyway.
And so he got a rep, much like yours. And so he built himself a personna in keeping w/ that rep. And so that's what he had to work with when he made it out into the real world again. It was a crazy time. It'll pass. I don't believe half what you guys say about each other. I did laugh hard, though, when the one kid mistook Mary for a fair game target and let into her. Oh! the irony!
Anyway, I don't care what anybody says, you were a minor in the care of certain adults. If you did rough other kids up, it's not your fault legally. The morality of the whole thing is something you'll have to come to terms w/. And I guess you will just as well as anybody. But don't you believe for a minute that you have anything to gain by covering for the Suds.
The way to see by faith is to shut the eye of reason.
