Good show, especially for all the bad publicity against WWASP. I like how Montel read Ken's statements in a mocking tone of voice, gotta love it! Fuck Ken and all his WWASP buddies, I hope they saw this show.

Point taken, absolutely!..... but I wasn't just talking about tabloid TV as the only venue.  I was just saying that if we get the chance to talk publicly about this in whatever form, let's stress both.  That's all.

I take all responsibality for all I said on Montel.
They were nice and respectful and did all they could to make me comfortable. The people at Montel are truly concerned about their guests. They gave me a chance to tell what happened to me in the hell called Straight.
I wouldn't have been a wreck in the first place if STRAIGHT had not tried to destroy my mind.
So do not take my responce out of contex.
I did Montel b/c I believed that there would be a senator or state rep. Or some one who, has the ability to stop this from happening to another person watcing and that perhaps a parent might think twice before sending his/her kid to a similar place.
THANK YOU MR WILLIAMS FOR LETTING ME SPEAK OOUT TRUTHFULY ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE.
I also want to let you know that the producers of the show called me after a few times to see if I was ok. They also offered me the chance to seek therapy, which they offered to pay for. I declined.

Sammie, I agree with you that Montel is responsible, sensitive, and ethical.  He is doing wonderful things with his foundation for multiple sclerosis.  He donates every penny donated to the foundation for research, and pays for administrative costs himself or via corporate sponsors.

I think he would like to help teenagers who suffer what we suffered at the hands of Straight.

He is on the Tony Danza show now.  Check your listings.

I'm glad he and his crew were good to you, and thank you Sammie.  I'm sure you saved more than a few kids whose parents watched the show.

You know Sammy, most talk show's are really stupid, and even Montel pisses me off with his Sylvia Brown shows and pyschic bullshit.

HOWEVER.

Watching this show, and seeing him almost tear up when he admitted he sent his kid to one of these places and publically admitting it was one of the worst mistakes of his life..

Well, I now have a newfound respect for the guy.

That and his medical marijuana stance. I think it is cool he comes out publically and speaks out on issues he agrees with.

Thanks for going on that show. I said it before, that was brave.  I am an emotional wreck also when I speak in public. I just blathered out at my step dad's funeral when everyone was telling funny stories about him, and I lost it in front of everyone.

It is nothing to be ashamed of, getting emotional in public. You did a great service to us all going on that show.

Greg FL I am sorry for the loss of your father.
Thank you for your kind words, everyone.
I hope some day Ill be asked about the here and now by Montel, or perhaps Ms. Oprah will aske me to come and help her retract her prior show in the 80's which she promoted STRAIGHT.
Other than that I think I'll just speak out about the abuse of our children in America. And leave my life exp. out of it.
Peace and love to all.

We at SIBS make it a point to commend someone who has the courage to share their feelings with the group. It's never too late to 'start over,' Sammie.

We realize that some folks might take offense to Dr. Fucktard's...eh, shall we say somewhat savage demeanor....however it should be known that we at SIBS certainly wouldn't tolerate that sort of thing from just anyone...
