parent custody past age 18?

I've heard about this, but I don't know much.  I thought once you turned eighteen you become immune to being "sent away" by your parents, but is that not true? Does anyone know the facts on this?

18 year olds are legally adult in terms of rights.

However, people as young as twelve are accountalbe as adults, even if they dont have the rights of them.

All religions have been made by men.

Then what about this new WWASP program Pillars of Hope that houses kids over the age of 18? How do they make these kids STAY?

they threatened me with it at SCL.. said I'd have to stay until I was 21.. aparently I find out now they use this ploy a lot to get kids to stay in the 18 year old program.. they dont want the gravy train to stop.  :flame:

Parents can apply for extended custody from the courts. I think it can go up to 21. Usually the kid isn't their and can't defend themselves. I don't think it's too hard to for the parents to be awarded extended custody. There are some people over 18 that go into programs by themselves although its usually just to please their parent. There was a girl who was 19 who went to SUWS and then DMR. She claimed she wanted to be their but she really didn't. Although I never did understand why she was their in the first place.
