Bay Walk Picketing
« on: July 09, 2004, 11:21:00 AM »
just wanted to let everyone know we are putting togther some folks in the Tampa Bay area who can  picket in front of Bay Walk every Friday and Saturday night.  Does not have to be a large crowd; we are planning no more than four, or five people at each picket.

Signs and fliers are already printed.

We are hoping to start in August.  As details become available we will advise, thank you

I think it is a great Idea. I wish I were in florida to join in. Remember that you can not picket on the grounds it must be at the entry way. And I would reccomend that you inform the Tampa PD that you will be there, They are usualy very cooperative with us when we have picketed before and they appreciate the heads up as well as the opportunity to say to the Mgmt. that they are aware of the picket and they will also ensure that you remaine free from harm if Sembler decides to send his croonies out to harass you. Also bring a video camera if you have one. Its good for evidence Just in case.....  HAVE A GREAT TIME

That is really cool you want to picket Baywalk, but why wait 'til August?  I live just 4 blocks from the damn thing so there is a safe place to park, without having to move yer car every damn 90 minutes.  Making this statement anonymously does very little for your crediblilty though.

The Uhuru Movement could fuck up a wet dream in a hurricaine, so I think it would be wise to make ourselves known now before they do something stupid and mess things up for everybody.  Also there is a radical group of Anti-Republicans that protest down there as well.

Lastly, where were you when I discovered that Mel Sembler is the direct owner of the Eckerd Drugs on the corner of 38th Avenue and 49th Street?  We could have picketed the store back in late May when the kids were all still in school and really caused a stir.  Too late now.  For the love of Jesus Crippled Christ Jumping on a Pogo Stick, e-mail me or private message or whatever, other wise I simply cannot take you seriously.

Inside a warehouse behind Tyrone Mall
we walked in darkness, kept hitting the wall.
I took the time to feel for the door,
I had been \"treated\" but what the hell for?

I'm in California so I couldn't join this but I really like the idea. Do you know of any larger political organizations that are fighting these crazy places?

Just so everyone knows they cut a deal with Sembler and no longer picket Bay Walk, or Sembers house.

See the merchants who have shops there are struggling really bad and it was hurting their bottom line.

Until the Semblers make "amends" to their victims the picketing will continue and won't just be limited to Bay Walk it will take place in Atlanta and at every Sembler retail outlet.

Sembler can kiss his bottom line.  Coming SOON this August 2004

MORE DETAILS TO COME!!!

There's got to be a better way to do this.  Picketing Baywalk is pointless IMO.  People aren't going to get why it's being done, no matter how many flyers you hand out.  Especially on the weekends.  It's full of mostly kids going to the movies.

We have reviewed everyones input and appreciate your views.  However, we have not asked anyone to assist us in picketing Bay Walk.

We have this planned on our own and the point of posting it was just to let everyone know what going on, so you were not surprised by it.

The Sembler's only understand one thing; the bottom line.  (MONEY)

The picketing is not only going to take place at Bay Walk but at other Sembler retail outlets around the country.

Until they make "amends" to their victims the picketing will continue and the Semblers will just have to deal with upset customers.

To bad for them.

Like we said the other day, the picketing at Sembler owned properties hurts the bottom line.

Who do you think is behind the protest zones?

All this is going to do is put the national spot light on St Pete and Sembler.  Now's the chance to draw public attention to the cause again!!!!!!!!

When they set up the no protest zones on public property someone needs to picket in the zone and get arrested.

The ACLU would take something like this.  National attention to the cause for someone willing to spend an hour, or two in jail.

Hate. Falling three feet to the ground.
Face down on the cold floor of a well-oiled SF pigsty I met my one true love.
Feel youth crushed somewhere between concrete and boot,
another victim of the lower hate.
You are not my god. You think this is funny don't you pig?
How the helpless freak squirms beneath our state sanctioned soles,
but what is he laughing at?
There was nothing padded about a wagon full of mace.
Rotator cuff hyper extends behind my back ribs cracking beneath a rain of sticks and heels
falling down like the rain outside.
Oh yeah bitch, I'm gonna remember your face your name your number;
and when I crawl out of this hole I'm going to make you all mine.

We will be able to draw national attention to the cause picketing at Bay Walk thanks to the possible "free speech zones" if they pass it.
