If so, we need to somehow meet and discuss as a group.  CALO is not helping our children, they are taking us for a ride at a very high price tag.  I was very dismayed at the letter that was sent to only a selective group of parents.  I also know CALO has filed a suit (basically a gag order) against former staff members who allegedly wrote the letter.

I can attest that, from my own personal knowledge, that this letter was 100% accurate when it spoke to situations involving my child.  I was told by CALO that these allegation were a fabrication and blatent lies.  CALO lied to my face and I am very upset.  I also have learned many things about CALO that were never disclosed to me during the "admittance process" or ongoing therapy or of their background and previous issues.

Are there any parents out there willing to step up to the plate and hold CALO accountable, at bare minimum at least to find out the truth?   I am.  If you are truly concerned for your child, we need to band together and force the truth out.

Thank you CG for your concern and I think it would be a good idea as well for you parents to put your heads together, but just to warn you, I don't know how many of those you'll find at Fornits.

Do you know of any CALO support groups you can attend? You might want to try making some contacts there. Does CALO have any seminars? You will have to find ways to connect with parents who are not already aware of the issues if you want to do any good. My favorite is the seminar intervention, pass out flyers and ask some revealing questions. You might have some luck on myspace or facebook as well, maybe creating a group for former CALO students and or parents and just talk to them about their experiences, I can promise you, you'll hit a gold mine of info from former students who no longer have allegiance to CALO.

another good way would be to find the recent article about the girl gone missing from CALO on Topix, there should be a lot of parents reading and commenting there.

Because not everybody forgives their parents for sending them to a bad program and they tend to see any parent as their parents (even if the parent had nothing to do with putting the kid in a program).  Put simply, it's prejudice.

Curious George does not have primary custody of the child.
Curious George has had opportunity to visit the child at CALO and has witnessed events that contradict the CALO/Ken version of reality.
Curious George should spend less time asking how to contact other parents or seeking legal counsel on open forum in a trolled environment.
Curious George might find it easier to get their message across by staying on track with telling the truth about this program.
