Troubled-Teen-Industry.com News
« on: December 04, 2008, 10:18:04 PM »
Kev is out, so I'm now designing and creating the portal site.

Joomla (the software I am using) is VERY flexible, so chances are, if you can imagine it, I can make it happen.
As i'm working on the site, which is openly accessable to the public as I work on it, I would appreciate feedback.

I'll be over sometime tonight or tomorrow. I'm working on editing suggestions for the parent-to-parent letter, and should be done in an hour or two...

Thank you.  I'm itching to getting around to publishing a polished version of that.

• Brief comment on the banner (which you might well want to address later), left-hand-most side, surrounding apall logo: at least on my computer, the background is so dark that I cannot make out the words that the initials stand for.

• Heading: "all you need to know about the tti in one place" is kinda scrunched. You might also want to consider making three lines so the words break up into phraselets that are more memorable. E.g.,

    All you need to know
    About the Troubled Teen Industry
    In One (Adjective) Place

• Oooh, I just linked back to fornits in the forum section! Nice! Will viewers have the option to expand that part full screen, or to visit whichever respective forum in order to get the whole screen? I imagine that extensive viewing under first-noted conditions would get laborious after a while (having to scroll left to right to read everything).

Hmm.. and now I am looking at the antiWWASP forum and a very jumpy ShoutBox, a line of which  reads:

psy: muahahah. I put your forum in a box!

—=—=0•0=—=— —=—=0•0=—=— —=—=0•0=—=—

lol! All for tonight, I'm beat...

BTW, It really is fantastic, being made so viscerally aware of all these communities, each unique in their own eccentric ways, yet all focused on one commonly held goal...

Ok.  Registration is now open at apall.org.  Once you do that, on the left hand side you will find several new links when you are logged in.  Two in partular, "submit an article", and "submit a web Link" allow you to contributed directly towards the content on this website.  Currently I am looking for article authors, editors, as well as techs to help manage the site (or those willing to be trained as techs).

After Kevin August went bat-shit crazy yesterday (who really wasn't expecting that), even though the domain was registered in my name, since the transfer of the domain to the dreamhost registrar was not completed, he was able to switch the nameservers back to his own.  What this means is that apall.org is now pointing to anti-WWASP.

So effective immediately, apall will be available at the following address (until we come up with a new name):

We knew he was batshit crazy before you warned us. Regardless, he brings skills to the table and wanted to help. It is only fair that we attempt to work with anyone who want to help as long as they aren't in the referring game.

His stint with referring was in the past. He wanted to help and he has skills.

The real issue was.. How long would it be before he went batshit crazy.. and not if he'd go batshit crazy.

Besides... when you shuffle the cards.. read between the lines.. and examine the common threads of logic you'll notice the obvious..

Much more was at work than is obvious.

Yeah, Che, I do realize all of that. My point is this, though: What exactly is the rationale of employing someones help whom ye expect to go crazy? To me it just wasted time. I also do not believe that he doesn't refer anymore, and that comes from watching his erratic behavior, and from gut instinct.
sincerely,
-DP
