"Go in there and be his little girl again,"
A PV therapist's advice to a female patient before a forced face-to-face therapy session with her father, who abused her when she was a little girl.
Not funny at all, but indicative of the sensitivity and training of the clinicians at Peninsula Village. "Mending young lives and restoring families"? How, with this methodology? In this instance, PV failed, the session ended abruptly and the father and daughter have not communicated since the girl left PV. Damage done is clear, but PV has dodged accountability citing "clinical necessity" as a shield for ages.
