Any chance of hyde returning money after they neglect your ?

Does anyone take on Hyde and make them pay for there actions? The majority of students hate Hyde and it is obvious Hyde is out of control. Does any one have any data about there out of court settlements? or pending or recorded judgements. Stop drinking the koolaide and spit it back in Joey's face!

Good to see a current student on board. If your classmates hate Hyde are they too scared to talk or just have nothing to say?

You need some legal advice as to how to get that info out of the records.  When someone sues, and yet then settles, there is STILL info filed on this somewhere.  I know lawsuits have been filed against both the Bath as well as the Woodstock campuses.  Probably records for the county would have that info.  I honestly don't really know.  Possibly some heavy duty phone calling might scrounge up better direction.

A chance of gitten yer money back?!! You got ta be kidding!!!  We did away with that clause in the 80s, too many people were askin'!!  Fer crying out loud, whadya think this is?  A democracy?!  A free market economy?!!  Gimme a frigin' break!!

This is the Era of Hyde, kinda like the Ming Dynasty, only wit not so many of those slanty-eyed ori-lentils, can't really trust those bastards, they lie to yer face without blinkin' an eyelash...  'Course ya can hardly tell that anyway, they all look alike.  But they sure do work hard!  And fer a pittance too, with no complaints, as least fer a while...

No!!  No money back!!  It's already been spent anyway.  I'm fixing ta buy me one of those smaller islands that are a part of Hawaii.  I'll bring the whole family there when Maine gets too hot fer us, and we'll do us some more inbreeding, heh heh!

Daydreaming of Hawaii again,

Interesting that Jake has not returned.

I would venture that:  1.)  Jake is not real, or 2.)  that Hyde has seen fit to return Jake's money.  Judging from events that have transpired in the past, it certainly would appear to not be the first time that dissatisfaction has been taken care of, out of the limelight of public scrutiny.

Hyde normally will not return your money. They count on family's leaving the school early. This is how they make extra money. I know of some family's who push and push, sometimes hiring an attorney, at which point Hyde will sometimes concede if forced. Many times the family does not want to go through the trouble of hiring an attorney, but it does seem to be worth it when you are talking about tens of thousands of dollars.

It would indeed seem worth it.  Once upon a time, Hyde did offer a money back guarantee, but this was discontinued in the mid-80s.  Perhaps coincidentally, perhaps not, this was also a period of time when they were trying to pull themselves out of a financial slump.  Maybe too many people took them up on their "offer."

In my opinion, there is so very much that they claim that is "not as stated."  One could even say that they are "selling cracked engine blocks."

Hyde boarding schools are obviously in trouble. Enrollment has never been so low. This is more than likely why they are trying other alternatives like stepping up opening of charter schools, etc. They no longer are fooling the Educational specialists. It is much easier to fool the government!

There is no way that the environment in the charter schools in any way approaches the insular cult-like mindset at work in the boarding schools.  At the charter schools, people have lives and social networks outside of the place, so the emotional abuses will probably never get as bad.  But they still can bring in some money for the Gaulds!

That said, I think their biggest hope for a moneymaker is the Biggest Job project.  The way they package and promote it -- giving talks and seminars at churches, community centers, and schools across the country, getting schools to buy the package, which undoubtedly includes built-in consulting fees when someone from the Bath/Woodstock axis needs to come out and facilitate the obligatory seminars with parents -- is a potential goldmine with far less liability than running the boarding schools.  See HERE for a copy and paste of an advertisement for The Biggest Job in one of Hyde's recent newsletters.  See the post immediately following that one for a brief description of their programs.

See the parent newsletter for the CIVA school in Colorado for an example of how this might work.  Pam Hardy, the facilitator for these required-attendance parent workshops, is also the contact person in the above noted advertisement, and works at Hyde-Bath.
