I was there for like 7 months. I don't remember many names except my immediate friends and staff. Sorry.

I graduated in 1993. I know Jennifer Pentland and knew Alison Gomes and Eric Estevez. Why?

The guest is trying to find his old freinds from rs. I directed him to this site. I'll tell him to respond to you. He has a hard tims getting to a computer.

What was it like for you duing this time period at cedu? I've yet to read a "survivor story" from cedu from this era..from any time period except the beginning years, actually.

I'd love to understand how a girl i knew came out of cedu beleiving she was a drug addict when she had never had so much as drunk alchohol.

Please tell me your story so I can understand what happened to her.

This is my website...

I was there 89-91 at Cedu RS.

Some of the people in my pictures below were in Discovery in 91. So it's possible they might have been in Source in 93.

91-93 marks a CRITICAL time at Cedu RS.

A few points of interest.

- Tim brace leaves and Bill Valentine takes over. (Very different leadership styles and directions, not to mention Bill was a raging alcoholic!)

- Cedu is purchased by the Brown School.

- Cedu officially start handing out drugs to handle behavior.
(This was HUGE) In 90-91 we had FREAKS at our school that had just come out of hospitals. They should have been doped up but Cedu staff at the time maintained they could change through positive reinforcement.
These kids were over the top! Then all of a sudden, Cedu flips the switch and says, Yah ok, we can give drugs...

- First large underground is formed. Kids drinking and smoking on campus. Getting everything from older student jobs off campus in Running Springs.

- Cedu turns the staff housing into a Jr High school. Thought process is to now get 9-12 year olds BEFORE they act up or screw up big. Menawhile medicating them fierce.

There is a lot more to add...

 ::rocker::  ::cheers::  :smokin:  ::dose::

party on, muthafuckahs!

I love how an institution which is supposed to dissuade kids from drinking and using drives us right to it, even if we never did drugs before.

Course, I never would have been part of no underground, cause I'm a cocksucking angel.  ::haloslips::

Seriously, just ask the guys whose cocks I've sucked and they'll tell you.

I was there 91-93. About your friend- how she can believe she's a drug addict....well, the philosophy of the school was built on drug addiction, so anyone's problems were frequently compared to drug addiction. Even if they weren't even related. EVERYONE was considered addicted. I think that is one of the ways that the staff justified forcing us all into the same "treatment methodologies"- if you can even say that without getting sick.

Anyways, there's a good chance I knew your friend. I was in discovery in 91, source and graduated 1993. My time there was HELL.

Anymore questions about that specific time period, fire away.
There are some "stories" here and there throughout the website. The common theme in them is that the early 90's were a time of testing changes- "treating" multiple issues that hadn't been dealt with before, handing out psychotropics, changing family and peer group structure, starting the middle school, etc.

Wasn't saying they weren't true- actually wasn't trying to take a stance at all regarding those recollections. "Stories" was put into quotes based on the request for "stories" of the time.

And now re-reading your post in relation to mine, YES, what is stated as the changes during that time ARE TRUE, as in FACT. I was there for most of that.

The "stories" remark was about what happened to us "individually" at cedu.

Of couse they are true....What word should I use, dear? Biographies?

I have been in many egp's. The most "famous" was Desisto. I know how Cedu works in a basic sense. I know that it brainwashes you somehow. But I dont know how...

I would like to understand how Cedu worked by hearing the biography of your time in the place with any info you are not comfortable sharing editied out.
I dont need to hear just about the early 90s either becasue though im sure they changed a bit through-out the ages, with the exception of the time it was under public scrutiny, i am sure it stayed basically  the same.
I was at desisto the beginning of the millenium and overall it was the same as at it's inception.

My freind was kidnapped.
How did you arrive?
What happened next?
Where you allowed to speak?
How long did group go on?
Where you "forced" to confess to being addicts etc?
What was the overall strycture of Cedu?
etc

Does this make any sense?
Also if you like you can email me at [email protected]
