Anyone lucky enough to have had Matt Klein as their child's counselor at HLA are very lucky. There is so much wrong with HLA including some shady staff members who should not be in their positions, but anybody lucky enough to have Matt Klein work with their child is very LUCKY.

He is still there. He is committed to truly helping the kids in his care. The kids love him and know that he genuinely cares about them. He knows how to stay calm in difficult situations and the kids know they are safe and secure with him. He is just an all around Great guy and he is a rare gem at HLA.

Actually he left around April in 05 to write for the Denver Nugget.  He was a cool guy.

That is Matt Aiken that left to write for the Nugget newspaper in Dahlonega, not Matt Klein.

ya, he'd hang in my post grad room and we'd blast the classic rock and watch music dvd's. he is a natural aid to to everyone. but some punks were sneaky around the cool staff....no respect....he would always give me good advice.

I give Matt Klein the HIGHEST rating and have utmost regard for him and his compassion for the lost youth of HLA.  My student graduated; Matt made time to speak with me weeks after graduation when we hit a rough spot.  Thanks, Matt.  You're rare, indeed.

I agree. Matt Klein is a ROSE among some of the thorns on staff at HLA.
