Quote from: ""Howard Khatt""

Is that the show where Jon Anderson wore a dress and welcomed all his friends from the Crab Nebula?

My main man Howitt!  Yeah, you know, and he had them little triangles painted on the side of his eyes and he had the little microphone you could hardly see, and Jon Anderson sez "We'd like to dedicate this one to our friends in the Crab Nebula," and then we went to get a beer, 'cos it was getting mad heinous and even Chris Squire was rolling his eyes and being pissy, but what the hell, he wasn't doing much better, looking like a pro wrestler more than a Rock dude.  Then we did acid and went backstage and sat in the tent with Jon Anderson, who said he didn't trip but you didn't leave him any choice when you mic'd his spring water with a dose that woulda killed Jerry Garcia.  Sent that goofy little muthafucka spinning on a Roundabout, it took a shitload of Valiums to get him to stop screaming about the Crab Nebulans crawling through his brain and the fact you was a talking feline.  At least they didn't do Siberian Khatru.  When Chris Squire passed out drunk, we stole his bottle and painted those silly-assed triangles on his eyes and wrote "CRAB NEBULA BITCH" on his forehead.

Tell Good Charlotte fans about a Rock show like that and they don't believe you.  Fuck those two mutant twins, huh, Howard?

Yeah.  I like System of a Down and the Stray Cats.  System of a Down kinda reminds me of another band I like, the Talking Heads, especially in the vocals, except System of a Down is, yeah, harder.

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

Those guys (System of a Down) are definitely strong in the vocal dept with their melodic lines and resonant harmonies, as well as a good sense of dynamics and song arrangement. They are without a doubt the most interesting band I've heard in a while! They easily outshine those bands with vocals that sound like the tasmanian devil or a caveman on steroids or something. The songs on Hypnotize have an acute political awareness about them which is cool, too...

 Yeah, ok..in my defense I'll say that:
1. It was on the radio
2. I don't own any CDs by her.
3. I think some of her stuff is terrible.

Jane's Addiction--Nothing's Shocking

Mudhoney--March To Fuzz

The Black Angels--The Black Angels

Pink Floyd--What A Set (a bootleg 3 record set, a parody of A Nice Pair, including a photo of a woman with three breasts, being that it is a three record set; as you know, the original had a topless, well-endowed woman holding a pear that had been "x"ed out in favor of the "nice pair".  Lots of other cool visual puns like the original release it is based on)

Lou Reed--Rock and Roll Animal

English Beat--What Is Beat?

The Residents--Heaven? and excerpts from Hell!

plus some Raveonettes, Electric Eel Shock, Tomahawk, Bound, Grain,  and Bongwater.
