Director of Admissions | Mary Musgrove
Mary Musgrove has been retained by Right Way Academy to head the student admission and family involvement department. Musgrove brings her many years of boarding school experience and program development in New York and Texas* to Right Way Academy so that student and family success is realized. She has her degree in Community and Human Services from Empire State College. She is a licensed Administrator with the State of Texas Juvenile Probation Commission. Throughout her career, she has been an advocate for youth who present behaviors that jeopardize their health, academic futures and their family's structure. Those seeking a safe, therapeutic environment for their child should call Mary Musgrove for a confidential consult. Musgrove comes to Pennsylvania with her husband and children.

*Oct 2004- Mary Musgrove moves from Family Foundation School (Hancock,NY) to Right Turn Youth Academy (Killeen, Tx)- with Powell.
Mary Musgrove is the essence of what The Family School is. She embodies the kind of no-nonsense love and care that the students need in order to survive and thrive in a world rife with discord and temptation.
Where is she going? Tom met a man by the name of Charlie through AA in Maryland. This man owns and runs programs similar to the one here in Maryland and Texas that seeks to help adolescents in need. Tom and Mary, along with former Family Four staff Randall Carnahan, are taking up positions at the Right Turn Youth Academy, a program attached to a juvenile detention center in Kileen Texas. ?They?re not being taken care of,? commented Musgrove, ?They don?t have the advantages some of the kids here do. We are going to try to establish a strong spiritually founded, 12-step, God centered, holy...? Here she breaks into peals of laughter and than turns back to the severity of the kids in question. ?They need a direction and we don?t want them to be a swinging door.?

Director of Therapeutic Services | Tom Musgrove
Tom Musgrove?s history of helping teens is extensive. Resulting from his own years of addiction and trouble, he understands the despair and denial associated with those problems. Tom?s love for people, especially those who are experiencing difficulties, makes him a powerful source of hope for those in need of hands-on care. Tom has worked with troubled youth in boarding schools for many years, volunteered at rehab centers and coached baseball and basketball for local teams. In addition to his work with youth, Tom has extensive experience in program operation, facility management and staffing. His education and professional development, together with supervisory and motivational skills, make him invaluable in this type of demanding environment.

SHIT! get out of my state FUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:flame:

here's where they tell the parents:  YES! we use abusive brainwashing techniques!

of course its in that professional clinical-speak to make them believe it will actually help their kids. impossible to translate unless youve been there.

http://www.rightwayacademy.com/clinical.html

to be fair, they did give away one nugget of insight into the program:
"coercion is often a necessary tool"
too bad it was hidden in the middle of a sentence at the end of the report

i think im gonna be sick now. this is badbadbadbad news.  seems like TBS are creeping closer to me.  maybe i should go undercover and apply for a job.

Dear lord, what now?? Green county is about an hour and a half from here. Well, most of it is, anyway. It's pretty damned remote. So, what to do, folks? I'll have to get hold of the newspapers, school-people, churches and such and give them a heads up. If anyone wants to help organize a little informational package for them, please contact me off forum.

The problem with the "teen help" industry is that it's a bad "solution" in search of a problem.
