Medical Policy at PFC
« on: February 27, 2009, 01:03:02 PM »
Is this policy standard procedure in the treatment industry?

Excerpted from PFC Description of Services Chapter 6.13 *Medical*

"All prescriptions for medications must be turned into the program nurse who will have them filled. For the safety of our clients, medications are unit dosed by the pharmacy and delivered directly to the program. Parents are required to leave a credit card number and/or insurance card so the pharmacy can bill for medications directly."

I believe it would open the door to potential fraudulent activities, unnecessary charges, things like that...

Care to comment or elaborate, calm fears, reinforce concerns?

Well, it's not legally rape if you give them permission to fuck you. Pretty sure this is legal as well (although your insurance company might have something to say about it).

I'd call this a huge red flag, but if you've already given them your kid (you fucking idiot), what'a a little money one way or another?
