Before Brown Schools took over Cedu
« on: August 11, 2005, 12:35:00 AM »
Is there ayone out there that went to any of the Cedu schools before Brown took over.  In all of the sites i have lokked at i am noticing that students that went when i was there and before had really good things to say about the school.  evryone after that is so negative.  i feel really bad for all of you that did not experience the schools before.  there was no abuse or anything like that.  now i'm not saying that in any way was it easy, and believe me anyone that was at rma with me can tell you i did everything the hard way.  but it makes me sad to see what they did to these once wonderful schools that were there to help not hurt kids.  i owe my life to rma and scott and sheila.  i even stayed afer i graduated the program to finish my diploma for 4 extra months.

I was at CHS way before the brown school took over and if you think it was great then I don't know what you are smoking.  I still have nightmares from the school.  I was made fun of and teased by faculity, laws were broken, and the school should never have existed

I agree with the that RMA63 must be smoking or inhaling something.  Whatever it is, she's definately not thinking! I was at cedu 10 years before Brown bought them out, and I'm still haunted by the pain and misery I saw inflicted by staff every day. Cedu prior to Brown's takeover was nothing but unrestrained abuse & neglect.  It was not a "wonderful place" by an stretch of the imagination, more like a prison, if you ask me.

Not true. I was at RMA in the 80s and I have a very negative opinion of the school. While I was there, however, I thought the program was the cat's pajamas. Most people did, to my knowledge. Son of Serbia was also at CEDU, I believe, before Brown took over, and he has some strong opinions about the place, as does blownawaytheidahoway, who was at RMA when I was. (We probably knew each other.) He has a very long account of his runaway story in the runaway thread.

I have no idea what our peer group number was. I think it was in the 20s or 30s.
