AA/NA = The Creepy Crawley

Revel in my loss
Sear me child, let this pain set me free again
With broken promise, never know what this life could bring
And the time spent alone sorting alone through emotions
Is a blessing that I know I cannot repay
Revel in my loss

you know when I was kicking methadone I went to this opiate detox site..which is more an information and support board with very little to no Stepcraft..
in my sig it said "you are not powerless...aa/na is a dangerous cult"
I was called an "outlier" and ridiculed and attacked when the Steppers saw it. Which is cool, as I thrive on conflict..but those fuckers got bent and started E mailing the fuck out of me.
I was picturing a mob of creepy sober people, with all kinds of sobriety chips hanging off their black robes coming to my house with torches and pitchforks..

...which would almost be like waking up one morning..and finding W. Axl Rose in my kitchen microwaving a Hungry Man dinner...wearing his W. Axl Rose Nikes and that stupid fur coat...and having his body guards shove me out of my front door "You cant be in here"

Funny, I always pictured them coming to my door and beating me senseless w/ hard bound, large print copies of the Big Book.

The wretchedness of religion is at once an expression and a protest against real wretchedness. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the feeling of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of unspiritual conditions. It is the opium of the people.

I remember reading the entire NA book in this one treatment place I was at. I never got it. Why do I want to read about other people who fucked up their life? NA meetings were so fucked up I usually laughed my ass off, then left promptly. I am not a priest, so don't talk to me like you are in confessional. Get a grip steppers!@!!
