"News report?prolonged forced standing, sleep deprivation, and exposure to cold?are illegal and may possibly amount to torture. "

hey i can honestly say "exposure to cold" was never an issue for those of us in samoa.

i was in samoa for over 2 years, and i saw duane lee smile once! only once.

hey dude, when you did that trading of the disks thing with the run plans, first thing, they took away our computers. second, they came down and said "clean slate to anyone who wants to confess to any old things they havent gotten caught for. there will be no consequences for anyone who confesses."  then, once they had a big list of offenses, they threw the book at everyone!!! i wound up getting a few cat threes and getting dropped to level 1 from 3. i doubt anyone is still mad from that. many years ago. anyway, you said you were on "telefaga"? did you mean maybe "fagatele"? i was on fagatele, when people got caught with run plans. i think i might know who you are. if you are who i think you are, you were good at chess, but i could be wrong. and yes, cocoa rice was really good when it was made with "kokosamoa", a thick, gritty locally produced cocoa. i agree it sucks the only people who we know about are the ones that make the paper, thats why i have no problem dropping my name out here. Ryan j, if u know me, feel free to write. [email protected]

david gilcrease was of course going to act different in the seminar. just like a cop or an actor, he has a job where he has to play a role. in day to day life, im sure he's different.

my parents still dont think it was a bad place. my mom still says stuff like "whenever i hear about one of your old friends, im so glad you went to samoa" even though ive told them repeatedly what it was like. i truly believe they were good intentioned, though. just a little naive.

i was in 2 families on fagatele, the first fale from the hill, and the fifth fale from the hill, which were spirit and peace. sutton was in one of the families between the two, but i cant remember the name. (im pretty sure he was in freedom in le tiara) i knew most people on fagatele as of when i left 4-20-98. i am curious as to who you are. anyone who was there feel free to e-mail me [email protected]

they took out a loan. they are still convinced it "saved my life". joe m. from washington? hmm... maybe you know the last name?

9
i was there from 4-6-96 to 4-20-98.

my story was a little different. i was arrested and when my parents got me, they took me straight to a "brightway-like" hospital near chicago. they made all the plans and lead me to the gate at o'hare, watched me get on a plane, and go to lax. i was going a day no other kids were going, but big wigs were going down that flight, so i met brent facer at lax! we flew to honolulu and picked up david gilcrease. i flew from honolulu to pago-pago with david gilcrease and brent facer, and then stayed with lafi till the next day. no kidnapping, and im glad. i flew in normal clothes, and david and brent were nice.

"Cat 4 for masturbation, and Cat 3 for drug possession!? That's hilarious! I doubt anyone's parents sent them there for excessive masturbation, but it's worse than drug possession there!"

yea well i always thought that was stupid. i just think it goes to show you how much their mormom morals got put into the program.

12
wow i never knew what brian did before samoa. i wonder what happened to duane lee? people in samoa im sure know him but anyone from another program remember him? he was another big guy in samoa, not sure what his position was exactly.

13
so if somebody has any positive experience whatsoever, they "bought onto the program"???  i had some fun times in samoa, i must be a tool.

14
so i just wanna say in my defense, that i never said these kids DESERVED ABUSE! all im saying is dont go to someone else's country and talk shit to someone 3 times your size. by the way, brian vaifanua is samoan.

"Female circumcision is part of the culture in certain African countries, but that doesn't make it right."

a tackle and a punch, or even duct tape is not permanent. circumcision is. i never once saw a person severely or permanently injured. about the saudi school, good point. we were in an american school, but we were on a samoan family's land. if you start talking shit about a samoan guy's mom, in an adolescent attempt at getting a rise out the samoan guy, you can expect to get dropped. in all reality, the samoans were a lot nicer than american cops. take it from a guy who has dealt with both.
