Kat,
Great to see that i am inspiring someone.
I think that antigen had a point with the things that she said to ye and meant well. I just don't think that she thought it all through before she had sent what she typed. She is still "good people" though, even though I do not know her personally I have heard that about her through some reliable sources. Also, I know what ye mean about spreading the word around campus. It can be very hard to hold peoples attention about these kind of things especially if they have never experienced things like this personally themselves.
I also agree with you that "The programs" have beaten a lot of survivors down so badly that they don't know how to get back up from all of it.
This is the reason that I keep going and keep fighting, not only for myself but for the ones that cannot do it and cannot get back up and for the kids that it is now happening to as we speak.One of the reasons I feel that the federal petition has taken off now like it has is b/c I have been non stop promoting it. I have plastered it literally on some very key sites on the net, and have been emailing friends and family to sign and pass it along to whoever they know as well.
I also employed the help of the democratic party and also the moveon.org people.
I am hoping that HR 1738 petition will reach 400 signatures by early next week. At the rate it has been going it looks like it may just do that.
Since this is a federal petition we really need a couple of thousand signatures for them to take this seriously and actually investigate this.
If we work hard and do the foot work I feel the rest will take care of itself.

If ye are really and truly so concerned about your children or your foster children please, please please get a second therapist's opinion regarding the situation with your children. I say this b/c some therapists are "paid off" as we have seen and "learned" over time to send these poor children to these abusive places. Some of these therapists, referral programs, teachers, guidance counselors get some form of "kickbacks" for referring kids and their parents or foster parents to Behaviour modification programs. That is a reality, so ye need to please rethink your own actions about your own decision making before making anymore decisions regarding the children. Think about it......be honest with yourselves about your own inadequecies and motives for the decisions that ye are making or have made or are about to make. If ye do that it will guide ye to the truth about what to do.
I do not recommend the teen help industry as a solution. Think about what the "roots" of the problem/problems may really be in reality not because of what "someone" has told you they are. Deal with the child as a human being. Deal with the children as in how you would want to be treated if it were yourself in the situation . If ye can find it in your heart to do these things truthfully then I feel that ye may have a chance to find and actually discover the solutions to your problems and the childrens.
The fact of the matter is this: Most parents mean well for the children and they are thinking that they are doing the right thing by these behaviour modification places. The parents most times mean well, but it blows up in their faces b/c these places are exploitiing children for partisan purpose of unknown origin to the parents and by the time the parents realize this fact, sadly it is too late, and there goes another childs spirit broken and lost. Forever hard to retrieve again for the adult child that still exsists inside of them when older and grown. Keep an open heart and an open mind, as life is never always just black and white, there tends to be a lot of gray that life dishes out, apparently and it is important to pay attention to the gray as well in order to make a proper and "right" decision.

p.s. Please help to spread the word about these petitions if ye can....this really needs to take on more "group" control to accomplish the goals we have lying ahead of us. If this helps anyone I have been online looking for any form of abuse websites and posting the petitions there as well as local media newspaper blogs. I signed the Provo Canyon Petition to support their causes,  althhough I have not gone through there. If we are to get anywhere with this we need to all do our part to help, even if ye feel that it is small.

Please rethink your stance on this and try to listen with an open mind. I can see that ye need help, ye can either except the help on here or dismiss it, your free choice to do either, but I have to let ye know it does sadden my heart to hear ye like that....b/c I have been there as well, and my brainwashing is caught on tape. I know the day that I watch it again is the day my stomach will be sick with memories.

Wow hard to believe that ye were in here way after me, nearly ten years after.
Hard to believe that it is still happening even to this day. Have ye signed the petitions going around here yet?
I hope that ye have as we need to unify to get them shut down for real!

Damn the looks better than the urine stained and not cleaned "time out" rooms we were in in straight. I would also like to mention sometimes sperm filled "time out rooms".....disgusting to have to smell and see that if ye so would not normally choose to see that kind of thing. Especially, as a girl or boy going through puberty. The rooms from spring creek lodge just look a lil bit bigger....I estimate that the "time out" rooms in KHK( aka straight-midwest Inc.) to have been about  6X6-6X8. That is extremely small but it may have even been smaller than I thought.
They also did not have those "bunk looking" beds either......the spring lodge ones' look like a torture chamber as in, strap one down or something like that.Freaking creepy for sure!
