Might as well repost my PV google earth file here while I'm at it.

Looks like "staygoldxx" closed their youtube account. Wonder if PV had a part in that.. Oh well, I had already downloaded those videos awhile ago!

If you look at some of the other vids from that youtube account there is one guy (they call him "Scott" in a description) that I photographed at the protest. One of those girls may have been there too.

And back on topic.. Act.da.. could you post pictures of the sign that you used, or at least give a clue as to what was on it?

I'm of the opinion that simpler signs are better, but I've seen some real gems out there.

Unfortunately the PV protest ended up being a one-man protest, but I still consider it a sucess. Near the beginning, a hotel worker drove up to get the mail and said something like "You stay right there or we'll call the police". She can be seen in the first few frames of the video. Then awhile later someone in the hotel called 911 and a Cary police officer showed up. He was very professional and let the hotel people know that I could stay since I was doing nothing illegal. A different hotel worker pulled over beside me as she was leaving and asked about PV. I let her know the basics and she seemed shocked to hear that a group like PV conducts meetings there. About this time, the PV meeting ends. As a vehicle was leaving a female passenger told me she thought the police told me to leave. You can see her in the video as well. As the PV group was leaving I did spot "Bob" Pegler, who ignored me avoided eye contact. Hopefully next time we can have more people attend! Here's the video:

Yesterday I called Country Inn & Suites to let them know that if they allow PV in their building for the parent meeting on the 27th there will be a protest.

PV staff shouldn't even bother setting their Facebook profiles to "private" if they'll blindly accept friend invitations! So far I've gotten 10 staffers (5 past, 5 present) to accept - only two have denied.


Here's how one staff member describes her job:

Peninsula is a long-term nature-based residential treatment facility for adolescents with mental illness, behavior problems, drug abuse, etc. We make folks better.

Do you think she honestly believes that?


Another one has this to say about her work at PV:

I am very committed to my job. I am a counselor at a drug/alcohol treatment facility. I love my job. My job is slowly molding me into the person I have always wanted to become. I am learning to stand up for my beliefs, no matter the repercussions. I have also met some of the most amazing people.

She then goes on to say:

I have a conscious, which sometimes sucks.

Conscious? If she meant she has a conscience, then I could see how that would suck working for PV.


Last but not least, here's how another PV staff member describes his favorite music:

How is the peninsulavillageexposed.com site coming along?

Well now! If anybody wants to buy the domain names, hosting is free. We have ungodly amounts of disk space and bandwidth. Even without a seperate domain we can set up unlimited vanity domains (i.e. peninsulavillage.fornits.com)
...
We'll need sponsors and promotion; mostly the free, guerrilla marketing variety.

If a website for PV gets put up soon I'd definitely help with adding content and advertising for it. Highway banners and urban stickers will start popping up all over the place!
