Russ, blockhead that he was, ultimately did get a degree in business from Redlands after he left CEDU.  He went on to Loma Linda to get his MFC and was on his way to a Ph.D from Loma Linda before his fortunate incarceration for battery and carrying a dangerous weapon AND not adhering to the terms of his sentencing.
Brandi Elliot received a correspondence degree from Coast Community which is why it might ring a bell.  I'm sure there were others.
I wish I could recall the college that Powell and Soltani attended.  I remember being shocked at Powell's resume...B.A. (or B.S. - more applicable) one year, an MA the following and one year later MAGIC, a Ph.D.!

Now that is interesting, I didn't know that Synanon had its own fake school of higher learning, but it makes sense.  Dr. Soltani, who provided psych services to CEDU also had his degree from whatever school it was...that was how Soltani got hooked into CEDU.  A few years ago I met a school psych, who knew Soltani and did not think too highly of him.  I mentioned that he had a cracker-jacks box degree and the psych was quite insulted, he, too had the same surprise inside degree!  Talk about inserting foot in mouth!  
From what I remember, Mark, Mel's son was the whipping boy for Mel.  I don't know too much about Mel's daughters.  They were fairly young when Mel started his program.  I imagine he spent more time with kids other than his own.  He was pretty much out of the picture when I was at CEDU, descending into dementia in Idaho, I think.

Mel Wasserman, dyslexic, only had a 7th grade education, undoubtedly why he shunned anything with an academic bent.  He did have his sidekick, Jim Powell, ex-Synanonnie, who had a PhD from a non-acredited program.  He was "grandfathered" in when California passed stricter rules for therapists.

As a matter of public record for all of you who have been following the Russ Decker saga....Mr. Decker was arrested at his place of work, a church-based counseling center, yesterday.  Pursuant to his sentencing Mr. Decker was to report to jail for 17 weekends.  He missed the first three.  His subsequent arrest will land him in the hoosegow for thirty (30) days straight and result in the loss of his employment at the christian counseling center.  This leads me to ask several questions...What did you learn from YOUR CEDU experience Russ?  Where are your Values?  What is your Truth? Were you being a Brother's Keeper to yourself?  Is this any way to treat your inner child?  Have you stepped on your dream lately?
What were you tring to imagine?  (That you were a rich boy who didn't need to answer to the law?)  Was it you to much "I" and not enough "me"?  And finally, how's that contract working for you?

Hilltop waw actually a few miles from the CEDU campus off of highway 18.  It was defunct by 1999 and used for an older peer group...that didn't work out and it was then used for administration and admissions (Jon Prinz's old house).  It was ultimately sold off.  The middle school was at the entrance to CEDU and was originally the homes of staff when staff lived on campus.

Here's the public record information:  30 days jail time, to be done on the weekends, beginning in July.  16 weeks of anger management classes.  3 years supervised probation.

Well, you can read the Russ+ sibling's version on one of these threads.  You are, however, correct, his attack was an act typical of a bully.  One correction, his stepson had not yet entered the shower.  Apparently Russ "thought" that his stepson had stolen a gun from Russ' house.  So, on Christmas morning he decided to storm into his mother-in-law's house with a billy club and have an "intervention" with his stepson.  Now, his stepson was never charged with a theft, nor was there enough information to warrant an investigation.  However, the District Attorney had enough information tfrom the police report to charge Russ.  His in-laws were NOT the ones who pressed charges.
I am sure this will light up the Russ sibling contingent for another assaultive blast on this site.  Can bullying be a genetic trait?

Russ gets sentenced next week..the 16th or 18th.   I was originally misinformed as to the sentencng date.  It will be public record, but I will post the information, as well.

To "Hi Gia" and "Let's Talk Here" and "Russ Decker, The Truth" the would-be illiterate law student and PTA Mom and all your other nome de plumes...here's the deal.  I only post with one name.  The other indivudlas you are cyberstalking because they have appeared in a Russ Decker blog are not me.  Unlike you, I don't change my name or identity with every whimsical post.  Further, I have been a member since 2006 and in that time have logged a mere 33 posts, or, an average of 11 posts per year.  I did not even know about this site until 2005.  It has been around much longer than that.  All the earlier posts about Russ were by individuals who had the "pleasure" of knowing him in far different circumstances and have liberally expounded upon their experieinces on various threads on this site.   Personally, I am not that Russ-centric.  However, popping up under multiple threads trying to engage me, when infact you are engaging ta variety of other members appears rather like an obesession.  Although it is rather comical and, I am sure, enjoyable to many and I was tempted to let you continue to make a complete and utter fool of yourself...I thought I might clue you in to reality.  Further, this site is not about giving "feedback" as you stated in one of your multitude of demonic diatribes.  The site is generally for information, perhaps reunifications, but mainly for support for the survivors of the Synanon spinoffs that caused so much pain and trauma.

I never said anything about Russ' past...these are long ago postings while CEDU was still alive and people were pissed about their treatment, the abuses etc., nor did I ever hear these statements, as shocking as they may have been.  You need to get your stories straight if you intend to use them...and please use spell check!  We all make typo's, but I am pained by your lack literacy

I would not identify myself as Russ Decker the truth and print libelous statements.  You really need to stop before you find yourself in a lawsuit.  To repeat public information is one thing, but to print libelous, false accusations regarding numerous individuals.  As Russ Decker, a relative of of Mr. Decker's or a witness for Russ Decker, I understand that you may feel the verdict unfair or incorrect, but that is our justice system.  You are making matters far worse by going to the extreme of accusing people of adultry, drug use, theft and perjury on the website.
