HLA and Ridge Creek are supposedly seperate entities yet HLA has apparently been improperly sending kids up to Ridge Creek. They got busted for doing "interventions" without following their own admintance procedures.

Susanna Gray, the last defender of HLA has apparently shut her mouth for awhile (hopefully for good). I'm suprised though, after all her blind loyalty to the school, all her accusations against us, all her anonymous postings determined to bait us into revealing information.....it all went...nowhere.

This of course after Susie swore up and down we would never accomplish anything with HLA.

In fairness she wasnt alone, who can forget AftenThurston, everyone's favorite Butch. Remember how she claimed over and over again every student there "deserved what they got" and "needed to be there"?

She seems awful quiet now as well.

Or what about Ann? Good ol ottowa5, or her junkie son? How often would they stroll on here trying to attack DJ, Deborah or myself, not realizing they were being laughed at at every turn. Remember how furious she got after she was stupid enough to post her mailing information online and then accused DJ of having done it? Or how she sought to seek out our information as well but was to stupid to pull it off?

Havent seen her on here for awhile either.

What about TheWho? Who can forget that idiot? Not only did he not have a clue as to what HLA was, he had never even heard of it prior to coming on here. Swore up and down he was an expert on the industry, would make nonsensical claims and then demand others provide evidence to disprove them. Or how even after he was proven wrong he would never admit it.

All these people who claimed we werent effecting HLA....where are they now I wonder?

And why so quiet?

Recently a number of questions have been raised concerning whether or not HLA is liscened as they should be.

The answer is no.

HLA has lied to the state since its inception claiming that they are a traditional boarding school where the emphasis is on education.

However the website and what the told the parents and education consultants was a very different story.

In that respect it claimed it was a theraputic boarding school with an emphasis on therapy.

Its admission policy seemed to fall more in line with that it was a theraputic boarding school. I mean how many traditional ones require an evaluation and recomendation by a psychologist?

So now the question arises, is it a theraputic boarding school or not?

If it is then why isnt HLA licensed as one?

If it isnt then why is there so much emphasis placed on therapy?

Perhaps it is a theraputic boarding school as their website claimed, but does not mention that to the state for various reasons.

Namely a few simple policies they would be forced to follow.

1. Food cannot be rationed.

2. Physical labor cannot be used as a punishment.

3. A state represenative must be available for greivances.

You know those little things HLA has a current policy which they may not want to change around.

I know Deborah had a full listing off all the regs that would apply. Perhaps she could be generous enough to post those again for us.

Id be interested to see if any of Buchi's puppets can address these questions or if theyd rather pretend they dont exist.

Maybe we will get lucky and Buch himself will drop by and put some of these questions to rest.

We can hope cant we?

I attended HLA for a year, 1996-1997. In that time I experienced many of the allegations other previous students have made. In addition to those there were some relationships between military staff (those in charge of work detail and cals)and students, as well as allegations of sexual abuse made by at least one girl in which I roomed with in the dorms. No actions were ever taken. My parents were essentially conned into placing me into this program, and every time they would get ready to pull me out I would get placed on restriction in order to reinforce that I was "troubled" and needed more care. I was in some of the first groups at the program. Perhaps things have changed, but I doubt it.

I was there at the same time you were. I was on staff but got fired. HLA left me traumatized and depressed for a long time. I can't imagine what it did to you, as a student.

Damn right it's a scam! It's terrible your story is all too typical. Sexual, physical and mental abuse is common at these 'faciltiies' and yet nothing is done. But I guess we are all a bunch of 'troubled teens' so why should anyone give a shit anyways, right?
