Tacitus' Realm / Re: Fuck it, I'm voting Libertarian

After careful consideration, I've decided I'm going to just vote for myself as a write-in. You should all vote for me too. However, because I don't feel like revealing my real name* and wwf.fornits.com is my sole campaign platform, you will need to write in my fornits username (see: Da Voice From Nowhere). Thank you for your support!

Oh what am I pushing for? The war will be over, pot will be legal, and if it means I get Castle's vote, less gun control baby!

*post your real name on here and then choose to stand by your opinions and then watch as trolls start stalking you and your loved ones...

AGREE WITH THE ABOVE!
Do not send your 16yr.old child away. You will never be able to take back the damage that WILL be done to your child no mater what your intent.
Make time in your life to work through whatever your current problems are and raise your kid.Don't take the "easy" way out your child will suffer in the long run.

unless your parents are like mine and still think they deserve parent of the year awards for the bitter, "tough love" decision they had to make...

auntie em,

i am so there for you.  i have not been online cause my boyfriend and i just moved into a new home, but we are getting settled now.  just let me know what i can do and i am there.  it would be my pleasure to assist in exposing anyone who is still doing this to kids, or adults for that matter.  :)

well i think it would have helped me a lot if ANYONE in my family, as soon as i got out, really sat me down and told me 'look, i am so sorry i could not get you out of there, but i know it was wrong what they did, and if you ever want to talk about what they did to you, what they made you do, you can talk to me about it."

i think that would have helped me a lot, cause i knew it was wrong, but i thought everyone in the universe agreed with them, cause thats how they made it out

I've been thinking about this Alia, like Auntie, who's niece is in a program, I have a child in a treatment center RIGHT NOW. Many months since I've  spoken to my child.

What you said above is exactly what I intended to say, however I am worried that my child will disagree, that I'M the one who will appear wrong, after so much convincing the program's ideals are the correct ones.

The graduates of the programs are PRETTY convinced the program is great, saved their life etc., seems anything contradictory is strongly opposed by the graduates.

Would I be seen as anything but the enemy?

hi :)  i dont really know your situation, but if this is your child, why dont you just take her out of the program immediately??

the people who say it is worse to leave in the middle than to see it thru are dead wrong.  no no no no no.  no need to 'stick it out' or 'see it thru'  its like any other sort of abuse, the less the better.
so why is your child still in the program?

the mindfucking is still somewhat mellow midway through the program...remember, it takes about this long to get the mind nice and ready to integrate with the kool-aid...get your kid out while you still know who he/she is...

"Little scamps!"

My information is fact!  I sat in that courtroom and watched my friend get 40 to life.  Sounds to me like the only one talking out the side of their neck is YOU!

Wow...the one person in this thread I was NOT referring to found it necessary to come at me like this...

In fact, I was motivated to write what I wrote because of what the FIRST person (the person YOU came back on) in the thread wrote, talking about someone's life sentence when the person hadn't even been sentenced yet. I just don't feel it necessary to list out the people in the thread I am referring to...I figured those who it didn't apply to would realize I was not referring to them pretty easily...guess I was wrong.

If anyone is interested.........Jonathan's case in now over  He plead guilty and was sentenced to 40 to Life.

I'll tell you one thing, some of the most rampantly false rumors I have ever heard pertain to CEDU survivors doing hard time. I heard of one kid who got 7-15 years for felony arms possession among a few other things, but it turned out he was just in someone else's truck who got caught with a gun and was never facing more than 2 years probation.

Then there was the guy who got shitfaced and ran a woman over in his truck and was facing 20+ years. Oh wait, he ALMOST hit her, was only allegedly drunk, and spent a year on probation for reckless driving.

How about the two kids that got life for their botched robbery of a drug dealer than turned into a double homicide? This is probably the best one yet...yea they pulled a gun on the dealer, but it wasn't even loaded. One of the kids didn't even get so much as arraigned.

When it comes to talking about CEDU survivors and jail time, it's like Mia Wallace said in Pulp Fiction...when you little scamps get together, you're worse than a sewing circle...

I was there for 35 glorious months between '00 and '02. Still feels like yesterday. And that was even when the program was supposedly shortened. I keep in touch regularly with 2 other survivors, maybe a handful more semi-regularly. Most of the people who were there with me keep in touch through some myspace group or something but I really don't want anything to do with most of them.

I guess it's a good reason to let the students know they haven't been forgotten, but I don't think it'll work. If we posted up on the street across the cow field from campus, I'm sure the staff would just "close the outside" so the students wouldn't be able to see us. If we happened to be visible through the windows of one wing of the main house, I'm sure they'd just close that wing too. And even though they might not feel forgotten anymore, I personally know that if I looked out at a protest that had less protesters than program staff working that particular day, my sense of being forgotten would be replaced by pure discouragement. "That's everyone I have in my corner right now? Wow, I really am fucked...better get used to this weather..."

Like I said, I love the thought, and it would be great to be part of something like this. But as much as I care about those kids getting mindfucked up there right now, I couldn't possibly devote the time necessary to get the ball rolling myself. If I were you, Che, I'd still be in India come early March.
