How are survivors helping kids helping kids? I kinda thought after possibilities disbanded that it was over.I am sadened to see that the perversion continues. Nobody left around here will talk about it- so how is it going to be made to work without the abuse? Is anybody dogging these guys?

Well it has been roughly(because I was not allowed to know what day it was)17-18 years.A whole entire lifetime ago in kid years. These links this website and you fellows are the only single solitary clue that I have been able to get! i should have tried this a while back. I have been trying to drum up some support for years. I've talked to church members,clergy,psychologists, psychiatrists M.D.'s,friends, relatives, etc. and got the same vacant dumass stare, like it did'nt matter.

I was betrayed or tricked into going to a family counseling session. Strip-searched,interviewed belt-looped. I was not on drugs. Naturally. I never got off first phase. I picked the biggest guy in there and when he started breathing down my neck to intimdate me I dropped him like that bag of cotton they always had us singing about. I don't like dudes getting that close to me I told them.
I was 17. Smart but still too naive. I could not believe I was being held there. I've always had a good intuition-I just knew there was something really wrong about the place-something NASTY! It has taken me a while to figure out the singing was regression,and the loop and the sex raps were really covert sex abuse. I got beat up a number of times for resisting. It never occured to me to make up anything :skull:

well it was a long time ago, the late eighties. I know that the place closed after i left, it's just that nobody would take my warnings seriously so what was the reason? There would have had to be a legal action. They touted the program so highly.I finally met another kid who was a newcomer within two weeks of my ordeal many years later who told me that Richard had commited suicide or lured a someone to the site and murdered them. Niavely I believed that it was just an isolated tragedy. Now I realize that this is a much more sinister chain of child abuse.  

Web pages are like babies -- creation involves a level of enthusiasm that does not necessarily carry over into maintenance.

I too am sorry to hear about your loss here in Kentucky. This form of abuse we are trying to understand and stand against probably played a part. Is there anybody who has heard of possibilities unlimited in Lexington. Am I the only one who has found reached out or have there been others? I would like that personal feeling of talking to someone who was actually there as I am still to this day a prisoner there in a way. I walked out one day sometime after i turned 18. We were not allowed any access to papers TV or radios in order to disorient us. I told everyone I knew what a twisted hole it was and I know that it has closed-amidst rumors of a murder/suicide. I don't really KNOW. Forget anonymity for a miniute- doeas anyone know if something happened to Richard Stanton? I think things have been kept unusually quiet about possibilities, maybe this is why George Ross chooses to reside here- this is safe haven for perverted pop psychologists!

greetings and salutations I am the newcomer on this chatline. Looking for like-minded survivors for chat. Let's get down to the real nitty-gritty about the "program". I have been fortunate to find this website and am coming from KY(home sweet home for George Ross). My experiences at possibilities were horific but a long time ago 1987-88 to be specific. I had some idea that what was happening to me was probably happening somewhere else, but here the whole fiasco has been hidden-or covered up. I escaped.But I am suprised and disgusted that this was and still is going on virtually everywhere!

Truth does not have to be accepted on faith. Scientists do not hold hands every Sunday, singing, "Yes gravity is real! I will have faith! I will be strong! Amen.

I would like to share information concerning any "program" which involved George Ross. I have been looking for a support group for years and can barely believe that I have found this forum. Please reply. :wstupid:
