I don't remember the kid's name. I KNOW the family doesn't know that he died because of that damn rug. I tripped on it many times, myself.

Post by: Anonymous on February 01, 2005, 03:36:00 PM: In the mid to late 90s, a grandfather drove up at night to see his grandson. Grandma was in the car, too. There was a large braided rug in the admin building that people kept tripping on.

This old guy, who was able to drive up the mountain at night, tripped on the rug. He broke his hip and died at Loma Linda hospital from this injury.

Staff who were in the building were hushed by an administrator when they tried to tell paramedics what actually happened - "he tripped on the rug" became "he fell." Does anyone know anything about this?

Yes, the school should have removed the rug before it caused the gentleman to trip. But neglect? It was an accident. We can't blame the world everyone for everything that happens to us.
