These people are fucking twisted as all hell.  This HB person is recommending sending depressed and potentially suicidal kids to a TBS.  Go fucking figure. ::puke::

Program parents are the best friends Fornits has ever had, as they've kept Fornits in business all these years.

Kind of in the same fucked up way that straight girls who won't suck their boyfriends' cocks keeps me in business.

Yeah, that ST parent HB is insane. If everybody followed her advice, there would actually be a need for more programs, as there would not be enough room even with all the programs they have now. If a kid is depressed and wants to kill himself, chances are sooner or later, he/she will find a way. They should try to find the reason/reasons for the depresion  and try to have him feel better rather than putting him in a situation where he will be even more depressed. And of course, drug use, depending on what kind of drugs, can be normal. And if it isn't, a program is most definitely not the route to go.

While we did choose to intervene and send our son to wc then tbs and to get him out of the school environment that was dragging him down, we see this as potentially saving his life. He was not into hard drugs.

Why the whole speech about the kid who OD'd if her kid isn't even using real drugs..? Weird.

There's more to Hb than meets the eye, she is not a fucked up parent, she's a very sensible one whose having a really difficult time, she's a good person who loves her child deeply, it is unfair to judge her on this post ... you don't know the background with the child, it's not as simple as you think

Whoever she is and whatever she's like, it's just stupid to think that a tough-love approach would ever be in order for children suffering from depression or anxiety disorders. That really defies common sense if you think about it for just a few seconds.

The only thing i agree with is the idea that if your kid talks of being suicidal this should be a red flag. What i have never understood since discoving this industry is the idea that if your kid is in big trouble (mental illness bonafide drug addiction) that this is the time to send them away. This defies logic. Surely this is the time to keep the kid as close as possible.
If I had a kid who genuinely had a mental ilness or drug addiction severe enough to require hospitalisation i would want to be at the hospital or facility with them every day. if possible siblings and close relatives would be dispatched when i was away. What can HB and those of her ilk possibly be thinking when they propose such an idea. Can anyone with genuine understandung of this way of thinking provide some insight?
