I'm amazed that the producers of the video chose the actors and script that they did, since this is supposed to be an advertisement to sell their services.
The girl is much too young and looks much too innocent. The first thing I thought when they showed her is "what could she possibly have done at such a young age to deserve this?"
It was also weird that they filmed it so late in the day, so the girl being woken up seemed totally fake. If they wanted to give parents a feel for how the process works, they should've filmed when it was still dark or maybe at the crack of dawn.
The mother came across as a cold-hearted bitch completely lacking in emotion. She says "I love ya" the way people sometimes do when they feel compelled to use the three little words, but don't really mean it. Then she's gone -- no final goodbye, no tears, no emotion, no concern.
Of course I wouldn't expect a video ad for an escort company to show anything close to reality in a 're-enactment' of a kid being escorted, but I usually expect advertisements to be persuasive in trying to sell something. This one does such a poor job, I think it might help convince parents not to hire this company -- and that's a good thing.

What I do not udnerstand is your attitude towards the people who helped get your life on the right track. You malign those who helped you so much. You would be dead or in jail if not for those same people.And as far as me getting my GED, that is not all.I plan on getting a degree in Child Psychology. I plan on havng a more direct effect on troubled youth.

My mom called me and asked if I wanted to go out to eat. I thought it was great that she was respecting my independence, and wanted to actually take the time to build a relationship. We had a nice time together. We even went for a ride in the country, and she let me drive the car. On the way back to my dad's house, she said she needed to use the bathroom. So, we stopped at her house, since it was on the way.
As soon as we got inside, my stepfather emerged from the bedroom and locked the front door. It was one of those deadbolts that had a keyhole inside and out, so you couldn't get out without the key. Then, two other men emerged from the bedroom. My step father said, "This is Frank, and this is Joe, and we're going to Mississippi." Now, I had never done anything violent until I was put in a position where I had to fight for my freedom. But, at that point, all I could think about was getting to the kitchen where I could get a hold of a butcher knife. I didn't make it.
Suddenly, a van appeared at the front door, and they dragged me outside. I was kicking and screaming, "HELP! HELP! HELP!" Apparently, no one heard my screams. I wasn't a very big kid at 16, but once inside of the van, Frank (at least 250 pounds) sat on my back while I was face-down on the floor. I still wake up gasping for air, some nights.

But, since I wasn't quite able to reach Frank without waking up Joe first, I wussed out and didn't cave in anybody's skull. Didn't want to bash in Joe's head first, because Frank said he'd sit on me the whole way there if I pulled anything else.

If you want him to get some professional help, why are you taking him to TB? I know, because you're getting paid big $$$ to do it, and his foolish parents think he will get "professional help" there.
The fringe benefits of your job must be nice. Maybe take an extra day or two in Jamaica before you return, hang out on the beach and have a few fruity rum drinks, maybe do a little snorkeling. Meanwhile the kid you just dropped off is just beginning the most terrifying experience of his young life while you're congratulating yourself on a job well done.
If you've been doing this a long time, Bob, some of the kids you have escorted must be adults now and once again free agents. Do you ever fear for your safety? Yeah, I know he's a troll, too. However, I'm venting my frustrations at him because, well, I have no one else to vent to. I've tried to talk to my parents about it, but it really upsets them when I tell them what REALLY happened. So I use "Bob" here to let my feelings out. I guess it's a general rant at the escorts... even though I know Bob isn't really an escort.
The troll is my scapegoat. It's a good scapegoat to have =) At least in my case.

My attitude? Yes, I graduated my program. Yes, I went home. However, I was still the same old kid when I came home. Running around, angry outbursts, manipulating... same old LauraLee BEFORE I went to WT.
However, one thing that was different was my psychiatrist. This one was actually competent, and he diagnosed me correctly with Bipolar. And I was put on the right meds. And pretty soon I was myself. I was pretty happy. I was productive. I'm still the same way.
Does this have to do with the escorts that took me to Oregon? No. Does this have to do with backpacking 8+ miles a day? No. Does this have to do with two episodes of severe dehydration to the point where I couldn't hold down water and I lost conciousness... and the proper hospital treatment I DIDN'T get?

Yes, trolls can actually serve a useful purpose sometimes. Most people don't seem to get that. I don't see any actual professional kidnappers coming out of the woodwork to discuss the long term damage they've been getting paid to cause.

The striking thing about that video for someone who's been involved in for-real-kidnappings (okay they were war criminals but the principle is the same) is that the only difference here is that when we did if in the Balkans we at least had the honesty not to pretend it was being done for the good of the kidnappee.

Well you sure made a difference in my daughters life; she is now dead. A sweet innocent 13 year old whose wealthy father wishes to punish her and her mother so he bribes one of you bloodscukers to come to his house. He calls us and says very nicely that we can come and pick up my daughter's clothes. We arrive at his house, he grabs me, two goons grab my daughter and drag her off screaming. I grab a rock determine to smash his filthy ugly evil face in and she shouts" Don't hurt daddy I'll go!" and she stops screaming and struggling because she doesn't want me to get arrested. I am finally able to have the courts force CEDU to release her to me but the damage is done. You had no clue about what was going on in her life and you had no right to do this. She comes home totally freaked out by the synanon-type 24 hours with no sleep and having to listen to everyone's "dirt", ( people having sex with their dogs etc) being screamed at to confess her "dirt", told she is a bitch, a whore, a liar and a loser. Every time she sees a van like the one she was abducted in she freaks the fuck out. Nightmares. She carves into her stomach the work "liar"; she starts hearing voices telling her she is a cunt, a whore and a loser. Finally she hangs herself.
